Crochet Doily - Elegant Oval Doily Part 1

I have tried over and over and over again to make this elegant doily and I'm following it exact like counting my stitches and everything...putting markers in and after I get to 70 stitches on the one side it adds up perfectly I'm right at 70 and then we start that fancy stuff I always start off right where you are and I go all the way around but every single time which I've tried nine times now I get to the end I always have four or five stitches left over and a big space in between the last pattern
