1:07:30 Ring Expansion should be done to get 7 alpha hydrogen and also to reduce the angle strain from 6 membered ring to 7 membered ring. Although negligible effect of angle strain as 6 membered ring is stable itself.

It's already a 6 membered ring....it's not easy to prepare a 7 membered ring from a 6 membered ring... It's only possible when groups like -NH2, -OH , are present...
