Cool Guy,sorry I'm late to your video....But I just picked up a set of these caps for $10.00 at a swap meet.....I don't have a Jeep but as they are the same bolt pattern as a Dodge Ram wheel.....I'm putting mine on a set of 15 inch Ram slotted rims.....I can't believe what these caps go for on eBay.👍👍👍

How long did you wait until you pulled the Jeep lettering tape off? This is my weekend project. Just finished restoring a pair of CJ seats based on your last video.

Since it was fast drying paint (15 min) I removed everything about 5 min after the last coat while the paint is still pliable but not wet. If you wait too long and the paint hardens, you'll be hard pressed to peel the tape off and still get a good line. Let me know how it goes. Also, glad to hear about the seats.

Question, I have a 83 cj7 Laredo. Right rear wheel hub is a little loose, but I don't know how to take it off, or actually tighten the fastner. Do I have to remove the tire and will there be screws on the back of the rim to tighten?

Ever figure this out? Sorry I’ve been absent.

Can you please add a link for the paint used or give more information about the paint color ?

For the Black paint? That's actually really easy. I used rustoleum semi gloss black industrial strength. Can get it at any hardware store. The semi gloss the the acurate finish for that time period. High gloss black was only used for body panel on high end cars.

How do you remove the caps? Do they pop off?

They have 5 small screws that go through the wheel rim and fasten the cap to the wheel. You’ll need to remove the wheel to get to the easily.
