That’s a lot of work to put a heater core in. I’d probably have just bypassed the core and disconnected the heated. Especially if I was in Georgia lol. I know what you mean about engineers though. They always have such great ideas because they never have to work on them. Nice project though. It’s actually kinda fun working on old vehicles. 👍👍

Great project Trapper. Love that old Jeep. I had an 1981 Laredo CJ7. Wish I still had it. There used to be a place up in Jasper Ga that had about any part for those Jeeps that you needed. I got a transmission from the once. Only problem was that reverse was right beside first gear. That was interesting lol

Can't stress enough how cool it is to know how to work on cars. I don't know a damn thing about cars, jeeps, truck's, sport cars. I just know they look good lol. I know how to change my tire check my fluids and maybe do my brakes . That's just from watching folk's do my brakes but I have never done my own brakes as of yet. Nope I just pay folk's lol. 👊💀

I had an 84 and 85. Good jeeps the last one I had was an 78 with the 304 v8. Big mistake selling it . As bad as they are to work on , I would take one anything on a cj 7 over something simple on a 2010 and up .

@@GeorgiaTrappingandFishing mine was in need of serious repairs after a long time of 1000 miles a wee commute to work and going on trail rides on weekends I wanted a 4 spd for the low 1st. And needed a new rear axle . Didn't have time to do it . So I regrettably sold it. Then the shut down and plenty of time !

@@walterdavis4808 wow, that’s a commute there. I put about 50,000 miles on this one and the motor blew so I dropped a new crate motor in it and it’s done well. I should have it on the road pretty soon. Just needs a muffler and new window trim. 😁👌👍
