Jeep compass driver side axle replacement.

if I take out the top part off would it required alignment after, than if i take out the control arm from the bottom?

I would probably align it no matter what if you take off anything like that but it may be okay

Does the front axle on a 2018 Jeep compass the same left an right side

I assume so but not 100% sure, it’s been a while since I’ve seen one. There may be a few less or more steps to it!

No they're not the same one is longer

Passenger side is longer than the driver side.

How did you get it to slide in?

You may have to hit it with a hammer to get it to pop past the snap ring, I would suggest putting the nut on to where it’s even with the end of the axle though so you don’t mess up the threads!
