What is that rubber piece called? I am thinking about replacing my driveshaft for a vibration issue (slowly getting worse over the last month or so). Rockauto has driveshafts but seems there are variations on what I need for a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4wd ESS (Altitude) V6. The rubber dampner, or whatever it's called, isn't shown in the pics. Does that piece Only come from the dealer? Looking at $600 or so for the driveshaft...

Any tips on separating the drive shaft from the transfer case? Mine is stuck on.

We had to gently tap them out using a plont punch and ball pin hammer

If you are talking about the ring gear and pinion for the differential we use Randy's Ring Gear and Pinion

I’m having an issue with my 2020 Grand Cherokee Jeep.Whenever I drive over ‘grooves’ or bumps there is a rattling noise coming from the rear of the Jeep.I’ve taken my Jeep to get looked at Twice and the mechanics are saying it’s the runners. I know their not the source of this irritating noise.It’s driving ( pun intended ) my Wife and I crazy.Any thoughts?

Ball park? I’m hearing a tapping sound when I accelerate then it goes away they faster I drive. I think this is the issue.

What does the rattle sound like? I've had this rattling sound for a few years that sounds like a loose piece of equipment banging around in a sheet metal cavity. It sounds like it's coming from the interior rear cabin area (it doesn't get louder with window open). I took apart the whole hatch door and found nothing loose or broken. The sound isn't crazy loud but it's loud enough. Sounds like garbage.

Hmm I wonder if it's the same sound. I got under there and saw a grease ring on the heat shields, so I think mine is shot either way.
