Jeep JL Mopar Tent Part

Ordered a Mopar Jeep Wrangler JL Tent Part #82209878. This is what you get. When I was looking online for more info there was no pics or video of what you will be getting with this tent. I made this for anyone who is looking to purchase a Jeep Tent from Mopar. Seems like you can get the same tent from other Brands.

Nice tent. I would bring along some blue tape to seal the area between the jeep and tent. Bugs have a way of getting through any opportunity.

The drip rail leads inside the tent. I'd be very curious what would happen if the Jeep is on an incline towards the tent and it rained.

At 3:11 you can see it’s far from a tight seal!! Not so much for rain but bugs.... check it out....

I've been looking for something similar, but I need mine to be canvas with oven connections. Hot tent ⛺️

problem: muddy jeep, dusty jeep! both will cause scratches. Also, if front of jeep is high in rain, that gutter will dump into tent. Seems cool in a dry clean enviro!

Nope. Bugs will certainly get into those gaps. The jeep's roof drip rails go right into the tent. If it rains, the water will flood into the tent. It attaches to the dirtiest part of your jeep. Imagine setting up camp with rain water or mud all over your spare tire. Where do you think all that is going to end up? It attaches near the hot ass exhaust that will melt it or worse.

Does your dashboard stay on if you have the rear hatch open? Is there a way to shut it off? I just worry about the car battery draining over night if you have the hatch open.

A price would of been nice ... I’m wondering how many Jeepers set up their tents drank a few 🍺 then listened to some tunes 🎶 turned the Jeep on to keep a charge in the battery and burnt a hole in the tent. Or trued setting it up before the exhaust cools.
