Tim I found it easier if you go to the bottom of the metal bar and bend tab downward then the window clip will slide off of then take your new window clip screw it onto your worm gear and slide it back on the bar now to move clip you need some type of power source so you need to either make up some leads coming off your battery on your vehicle or you can actually do it on the window connector itself or if you have a battery jumper after moving window clip onto bar bend tab back into place.
