Jeep Liberty Emissions Locations: PCV, EVAP Purge, Oxygen Sensors

Follow me as I look at this 2002 Jeep Liberty Emissions system for a smog inspection. I point out the Oxygen Sensors, evap purge, & PCV valve. Also point out a Vacuum leak that could be the cause of a lean code such as P0171.

Howvthe EVO lines going to the gas tank? I had an evap leak that went all the way back. I appreciate the video tho, I was putting back my crossover pipe that connects to the catalytic converters and I was trying to sandwich in the springs between both flanges. It seems over execive by Jeep to include these longs bolts and springs,, a shorter bolt and lock washer would of been enough.

please sir. i need some details. i have a p0171 lean code as well already running for 2 months and has not figured out a way to solve it. what did you do for this?

You have a lean code on bank 1. Have you checked for vacuum leaks? Listen for suction while the vehicle is running. On this make and model I have actually found vacuum leaks on the bottom side of the vehicle leading to the fuel tank in the EVAP system. So listen for suction everywhere. If you don't find any vacuum leaks then next I would look at exhaust leaks. Do you have any exhaust leaks before the oxygen sensor? The code you have just means you are running really lean and the computer cannot add enough fuel to make your exhaust stream rich. The could even boil down two stuck closed injectors. But the easy fix is usually a vacuum leak or an exhaust leak.
