I have never taken off a jeep door before and it was not difficult at all. The sticky liner was more of a pain in the butt than anything. Unfortunately my problem was not the plastic clip but the motor itself so I am going to have to get the entire thing replaced.

Damn! they used the exact same setup on the G500! the location of the fasteners are even the same. i guess i was right looking here for help

@wlc1980 ---> same that they also break. But the parts (front, Rear, and Left,Right) are all different... Make sure you get the right replacement.

I think that plastic retainer broke on mine.....I heard a pop when putting down my window then saw the cable coming up through the inside of my door panel. Do you have to buy the whole unit? Canj't see a step by step guide.....did you take it off?

You don't need a special tool to remove the plastic rivets. And it's not hard. U should b able to remove the door panel and speaker under 10 minutes and take the window motor out in like 5-10 minutes. Never removed a panel b4 and did my 03 liberty no prob.

i am not looking forward to this...i've had the window taped up for two months now but figure i better do it before winter :( I dont understand why my wife wont just let me wreck it...
