Have you considered attaching an awning to cover the back of the Jeep? Might be nice to have a way of creating cover for those occasions when you need to cook or work and it’s raining. I’ve seen some that are super lightweight and small enough there’s very low risk of it being grabbed by a branch when you’re driving down a wooded off-road.

Gotta own your weirdness. I'm with other users hoping you know some basic self-defense, of course the best self-defense is trusting your intuition and avoiding scary circumstances. I also appreciate living in fear isn't really living. I got a kick out of your field wood shop ops also. I don't use solar panels (as I'm a weekend warrior only), but I've seen those foldable/directional ones seem to be pretty pragmatic since they are directional. Excited to see how the Desert works out - beautiful forests, but some big sky and sunshine would make for some great perspectives. Charlie Mike!

Glad you are back on the road again. For a suggestion on your back area plans. I’ve seen several people build pull out enclosed draws on a slide of some kind. You have storage space for kitchen supplies and the top of the enclosure serves as your countertop. When done it slides back into the rear. I know I haven’t made it thoroughly clear but hopefully you get the idea. I’ve seen many van life videos using the method. God bless and keep you. Be safe💗🙏🏼

Is the crack in your windshield new? I don’t remember seeing that previously. If you’re planning to do more heavy off-roading, you’ll def wanna get that replaced. The trail and the hot springs are AWESOME. I’m really envious, as we don’t have hot springs on the east coast. At least not that I’m aware. You’re in such a beautiful landscape. William really is a good boy and I’m super glad you have him with you. I got a drone, in December, that I still haven’t figured out how to fly. I love that you’re incorporating drone footage. one thing I’ll suggest is using a Berkey. The smallest Berkey might work really well for you. ILOVE mine!!

you should check out the Lifesaver Jerrycan water filtration system. It's not the cheapest option, but probably one of the most worthwhile purchases I've ever made for offgrid adventure travel - coming from someone who used to use the Sawyer stuff you're using now. Thoroughly enjoying your journey so far! Cheers!
