Jeep Renegade 4xe review - a robust offroader in hybrid form? Is hybrid worth the premium?

You CAN get ICE alternatives, but I believe only the 4Xe is AWD as the electric motor is connected to the rear axle/wheels.

This car is based on the old Fiat Punto platform which, it turn, was developed alongside the Vauxhall Corsa. £39,000 is a bit much IMO.

You're paying for the battery... Is that worth £9000 over a well specced ICE model? You'd have to drive it a lot to save that out on the road!

What is wrong with Punto and Corsa platform ? Have you ever driven one of them ?

59 mpg over that distance is pretty dreadful

I was using it in 'sport' mode a bit to see what's what with it. I'm sure you could eek out stronger numbers if you had is a daily. And I'll confess, I'm not sure what decent mpg looks like for a hybrid... The official figures are always pie in the sky numbers!
