Todays video is building a set of diy Rear tube fenders for my 2003 Jeep TJ. I purchased this kit as a alternative and cheaper way than buying a finished set but soon realized this kit was poorly made. The biggest issue was that the bolt holes did not line up at all. However I managed to fabricate, weld and fit up the rear tube fenders and make them look half decent.

rear fenders on a LJ were my first welding project ever, with a 40$ 80amp stick welder i got off kijiji.. came out well for what i knew but looking at them 4 years down the road and now owning that rebel215 they need a redo lots of spots it doesnt press firm against the jeep and mud gets trapped in there that m18 fuel grinder is a beast wouldnt wanna be without the m18 tools now if you plan on doing fenders bumpers skid plated cages racks so on so forth masewell skip the predone kits that always require modification even when theyre over priced and just buy the plasma cutter and tube bender with a couple sheets of steel one 14 guage and one 3/16th then your preferred tubing... for the price some of these kits cost for what the material is worth id be furious if they didnt fall into place with the holes where they need to be and no gaps or skewed angles

The heart of the problem is that literally anyone can rent a garage, start a corporation, put up a website and suddenly become manufacturers and sellers of "do it yourself kits" whether they know wtf they are doing or not. They can be rich before people get wise, then close their shop and bankrupt out the corporation, rinse, repeat. And BTW using rivnuts is sexy af, beats the hell out of welding in captive nuts.

Yes indeed rivnuts works awesome until they seize to the bolt and then they aren’t your friend anymore. Hopefully anti seize will cure that issue

Can someone please help me with my 2001 Wrangler 120k, 4.0? I'm DESPERATE. It's always had code p0303 (3rd cylinder evap code) when it gets hot) about a month ago while driving down the freeway and it started sputtering and backfiring and losing power real bad. I wouldn't charge the battery. I determined it to be a faulty ECM. They don't make them anymore so I bought a kit online that tells the alternator to charge the battery anyway and it ran fine for awhile after that. (New battery new alternator etc) as of last wed. It started backfiring and missing again ESPECIALLY when I turn on the heater, and I pulled codes p0443 Evap emissions purge p0113 air throttle body (I have replaced with an oem) p1495 (uknown but presumably emissions related) and the misfire p0303. The only search for these lead to a forum where the guy didn't know how to work on cars and just bought a used ecm... I'm hoping this is some sort of vacume issue but I can't find any cracked lines (tried the starting fluid method) and I'm just at a complete loss .. I never post stuff online because it takes a long time to get answers but I just lost my job of 5 years dowtown last week and now I have tons of time but obviously finances are low now and Christmas is coming up... If anyone has anything PLEASE I am trying to teach myself to use a multimeter but am horrible with electronics which is why I bought this Jeep because the engine is old and simple .. thank you again for any thoughts...
