Got my 11 year old understanding stick shift. He tells me when to shift and what gear. Even down shifting. Also understands that slowly releasing the clutch pedal initially moves the jeep and the gas pedal adds acceleration. I’ll have him operating a stick in a parking lot soon. A little more growth needed but come time for his license he will be ready. Just like his old man was. Great video.

I got a Flowmaster high flow cat and muffler on my TJ and it's got such a nice deep rumble to it. I think muffler deletes make TJs sound like riced-out civics. lol

I got an 05 TJ X with the 6mt, on 33's and a 4" lift. I've had it for a few months now, I think I'm gonna start changing things, a new muffler sounds like it could be fun lol My other car is a 944, and I have a GSF600S for a bike too.

Sounds great!!! Get some mirrors tho. I tried driving mine with the doors off and it was so messed up not having mirrors. I bought the ones that attach to the door hinges. My muffler has a rattle inside it and must have come apart. It is a name brand performance exhaust too.

I just dealt with this a few days ago The doors have never been off my 2000 TJ Until recently They took me forever to get off but worth it I bought 2 mirrors on amazon that go through the hinges But require some washers crush washers and nuts So not a 2 second deal to remove those either Looking for to have in the top of as well. That I have removed But never drove with it off As I was getting it road worthy But did have it off when I replaced it

YES! I just bought my 98 Jeep TJ 4.0L Sport with stick shift a couple months ago, and I've been rev matching because of KyleSVT and his earlier videos, I never learned that when I first started driving manual 30 years ago. I also swapped out my headlights to Sunpie LEDs and blacked out the bezels, I always let my pumps prime before starting the engine, and I apply all the other great wisdom that KyleSVT shares in all his videos for maintaining my Jeep. Fantastic channel!

No power loss?? I lost my muffler on a trail once, sounded cool but when I put the full exhaust back on later I couldn't believe the power increase haha it was like adding a cam! And that was on a cammed 4.0 with 35s and 4.56 gears.. I highly recommend going to a deeper gear than 3.73.

Hey Kyle, I just recently got the same tires you run and have had some vibration in the steering wheels. Did you have any issues balancing your tires and where did you get them balanced? Discount Tire seems to have done a poor job and they really struggled on balancing them. Thanks!

Mine were done at a place that does truck tires and they didn't have to much trouble and mine does not shake.

I have 3.73s with 35s (06 4.0) and drives great. I recently went on a small road trip. Maybe about 200 lbs of camping gear including 2 kayaks. Drove not so great.

yes. muffler has nothing to do with the emissions system

@@KyleSVT thanks. I've heard on a lot of people on Jeep forums say that anytime you do a muffler delete it'll keep you from passing emissions and it's scared a lot of people out of doing it. Last year I installed a thrush welded muffler on my 2.5l and it makes it sound awesome!
