Shout out to Dave for this video and the mount. Very sturdy and secure mount. Answered my questions and delivered a top notch product. Do have to tweak it a bit (my fault not his) but I could not be happier with it. Designed by a Jeeper for fellow Jeepers. Not a compensated praise in anyway, just calling out quality work and great service in case anyone was on the decision fence. Thanks again Dave!

Instead of cutting a hole, and then having to make piece, why not heat up the plastic with a heat gun and just massage it a little? I bet it wouldnt take much to re-shape that area, and no re-sealing necessary.

Good idea, I think it might be tough to do though. Id think it would take a pretty good amount heat to get that thickness of plastic moldable, a lot of it would depend on what kind of plastic it is. There are a lot of different types of plastic so the amount of heat needed and the moldability would greatly vary. Its not under the hood so maybe its not something that has a high melting point. If anyone tries and it works let us know.

what did you use for sound absorbing material? I saw another video where the person took the sound bar off to stuff it. If I had a factory sub woofer & amp it's long gone (3rd owner). Not sure how to recover from where I am

I reused the stock material in the subwoofer. I debated buying some for the sound bar but did not.

another question .. @ 26:00 (video timeline) "we recommend buying a set of pigtail connectors..." can you provide a link for both the grey and black connectors. backstory-my 01 TJ was stolen, then recovered-head unit was stolen, and now i'm in the process of ordering parts. Thank you

what would be the way to go if there us two cut wires on the orange connector?

Which orange connector? if the cut wires are to close to the connector you might be able to try to remove the pin from the connector. Or depending on the connector you might be able to get a new pigtail with connector and wire that in.
