Hi Dave, Thanks for the video, I really appreciated the good clarity and quality video. Can you talk about what type of welding setup for this type of frame work to do at home garage?

We use a 220V Mig welder, at that time a Thermal Dynamics MST 400 and a Lincoln LN7 feeder.

Hi Dave. Great Video. I have an XJ that needs this done. Can I ask ball park parts+labor a job like that would run a consumer if they brought to you?

The XJ is a little different beast, being a unibody the metal is typically thinner with multiple layers in areas that need more strength. The steering box area is one that does frequently see cracking in XJs. As for cost, labor for this type of repair is usually $400-600 per kit with us.

Thanks we will try to get better at the inside shots. Some places are tight and hard to see in the videos so we end up cutting them out and just trying to talk about them.
