If you take off cross bars you can fold your soft top all the way. Just finished installing mine. Took about 3 hours lol

Great help. mine has 65k and just now got the kit - had to get back bumper insert where each sider has 2 bolt inserts cut bumper. these 2 smaller brackets need to be bent to align with bumper inner angle, this was not difficult with the right tools. Much appreciate the foam protector, the added protection goes a long way for complete install and saves on value.

I installed this on my jeep, works really well have a 185# roof nest tent and 45# awning on it. However extreme terrain just lost my business over one MSD blaster coil pack they would not replace without me removing the whole set. I sure hope the clutch I bought from them last.

Can you still remove the freedom tops with the crossbars in place? Can you use the rear frame mount option with the Smittybilt xrc gen 1 rear bumper?

I keep belaboring the fact, but I am compelled... ANTISIEZE is your friend, people. Liberal and proper use will prevent headaches down the line. A small bit of black touch up paint with a few Q-tips would be great, too.

Can this really only hold 300 plus pounds? That seems like it won't hold up to a roof top tent and 2 grown people sleeping inside tent.

The static weight is usually double the moving weight limit, should be just fine for that. Also engineer rule is that the load it’s rated for is only 60 percent of what it can actually hold. You should be totally fine
