Great to know there is a reasonably priced programmer. Looks like a real winner! The 303 is a good prize and is highly regarded for UV protection on many surfaces. Congrats again on a well deserved 2,000 subscribers!

I ordered this controller and downloaded the app. Im using it to add the backup camera into my 2016 jku. I have the stock navigation stereo. Adding a backup camera. Total will be under $100.

Also it can scan for codes. I had a wheel speed sensor go out about 2 years ago. It happened again yesterday so timing couldn’t have been better for my purchase.

Bought the scanner you recommend and tried the JScan app, the app is nice but I’m trying out a couple others to see if I like something else better. Having said that the JScan app did work to give me the code that was causing my check engine light. Thanks for the video

Hey Johnny, I'm glad it helped. I thought for the price, it provided a great solution for a number of things. I don't know what else other products can do, so I'd love to hear back from you on your findings with regards to other products. Cheers.

Just remember, if you want to use the JScan app on JL or JT you'll need a Chrysler 12+8 cable in order to bypass the Security Gateway Module. And you really need the OBDLink MX+ to get the most functionality out of the JScan app. That module is $130
@CheaperJeeperTV4 жыл бұрын
Hey David, Thank you very much for that information. JK owners get the edge this time! ;-) Cheers

@@TheCleverSoftware Hey thanks for the tip. Just wondering, given that it is $100 US, how would that improve what we get from the JScan($26 CDN) & iCar Pro($20 CDN) ?

Hey TrailWalker, Thank you for the feedback. The App can do a ton of things. Running it on a tablet, mounted in the Jeep would be cool too. Plus, the price is right. The link in the description to the Adapter is the cheapest I've seen. Cheers.

@@CheaperJeeperTV I will have to check that out. I think a tablet mounted on the dash somewhere with that information would be very handy

Do you leave this plugged in while driving too? My superchips you don’t. I’m interested in this because a 2012 doesn’t give you the temperature for your coolant. Mine likes to run hot as does the 3.6 but I’m looking for a device I can tell me the real time temperature for the coolant. Great videos keep up the work thank you.
@CheaperJeeperTV4 жыл бұрын
Hey Fred, You can leave it in, or remove it after you have selected your settings. One thing to be aware of though, if you choose to leave it in all the time, should someone have the know-how, they can hack into your settings via bluetooth and have some fun with it. Maybe not too likely though. I'd suggest leaving it in when using it, then unplug it when not using it, just to be safe. Thanks for watching. Cheers.

JScan is a good app, however I’m trying out OBD fusion and it has a really nice live dashboard that I think will give you what you are asking for. I’m going to mount an old iPhone and keep it tuned to this app all the time for live information. @CheaperJeeperTV I would love to see a review on OBDFusion. Edit: When I say trying it out, I mean I paid $13 for it and it works well.

I don'y know whats happening in your circumstance. Sound like maybe you entered an incompatible tire size or the App has an issue for the WK2 Grade Cherokee tire size code. I'd check with the App to see what they say.
