Poor Tony's lovely wife! Always love your videos! It was great to see you on the trail at west Holcomb Creek gatekeeper about 2 months ago!

Yeah, it sucked. It's not the spot you want to break. It's one of the few spots where you become a trailing plug. Holcomb is always a fun time. We will likely be out at Trial Hero and then probably at Mango Basin desert run. After that, Johnson is Thanksgiving if you want to hang out.

Look there! That's a blast

Its a great trail, and the exploring around it is legendary. Do you live in SoCal?

Now this looks like a fun trail! I'll have to try it once I get my new GenRight fenders.

Most definitely, don't forget we are not far away if you need anything. Especially if you need someone to go to the store for those unique items that you can only find in the desert.

I enjoyed your playful comments about the Ford product.....but to be fair: it did about as well as a completely stock Jeep would have done on that trail, don't you think?.
@JeepAdventures9 ай бұрын
Absolutely, they come stock with great ground clearance, bigger tires, and a few other cool features. Jeep really needs to step up there game as the top model Bronco and Wrangler, the bronco might be able to out wheel it most situations while stock. But when it comes to being able to modify, the wrangler is in a class of there own on what they can do.

Why could you not replace the front axle?

We did, about a week later. But we didn't have the parts there to replace it

@@JeepAdventures20 years ago the SoCalXJ group (and others) did the gatekeeper. Now days it’s almost impossible unless you have a rock buggy.
@JeepAdventures14 күн бұрын
How long ago was that? That obstacle has been hard as far back as I can remember
@youtubemademecreateanewcha696514 күн бұрын
@@JeepAdventures 2005 ish. Our XJs were locked and running 35’s or 33’s. The gatekeeper was doable. Some sheet metal scratched. I bent a tie rod that was fixed (bent straight and a hi lift jack handle re-enforcement).
@JeepAdventures14 күн бұрын
wild, i have a photo from right before that with my jeep laying sideways in the gate keeper. I heard rumors it changed the next year but I never got to go see it.
