4.7 v8 is the shit mine has 211 thousand miles and runs like a clock no problems at 2500 miles oil comes out damn near clean... 2002 jeep grand cherokee loredo 4x4 4.7 v8.

Mine blew a head gasket at 104k miles... Not so great.

the 5.9L.. Look at the design of the truck - electric fan for more CFM, hood vents.. ask any mechanic who has worked on em - there are more cracked heads than good ones in the wrecker thats for sure

Depends on the transfer case.. perhaps buddy decided that for 90% of the driving he was doing he was better off with a case that supported 2wd as well.

@bubbadog4x4 thats a sick jeep. i got a wj also and if thats 306 hp to the wheels through the all time 4 wheel drive thats pretty fukin sweet considering the loss through the drivetrain! Thats badass dude!!!

Fully built motor, Bigger cams, only sheet metal 4.7 intake ever made, much much bigger supercharger, better exhaust setup, built transmission you name it, it has been done.
