Like all your videos, but suggest you mention how brake fluid eats paint off of fenders. Protect them!

Dale, I had the same problem. I thought the new clutch master cyl was defective, so I exchanged it. I tried everything. I also have a professional brake bleeder kit, nothing worked. Then I saw a video that showed how to gravity feed the system. Fill the clutch master, (don’t let the cyl go dry) let it gravity feed overnight. And low and behold I had a good pedal the next day. Then the more you use the clutch it will automatic bleed itself.

@@JeepSolid I was pulling my hair out. I’ve never had an issue of not being able to bleed a clutch or brake system. Then I found a video of a guy having the same problem and explained the fix. I tried that and I had a great pedal the next day (around 30 hrs.). He also stated to watch the fluid level and keep it filled till the system self-bleeds. And everything he said came true. I’ve not had an issues with a bad or soft clutch pedal after. PS I really like your channel. Keep up the good work. Thanks

I can't remove the hydraulic line bracket. Also, I pulled the metal clip off where the line goes into the slave but it won't pull out. Any tips please?? 🤷♂️🤦♂️

Hey Dale, I have a TJ with the external slave and I kept trying to bleed it using a hex wrench. I got to about where you are where it felt like i had some of the air out but couldn't finish the job. I found that leaving the cap off and pushing the clutch pedal all the way down forced a ton of air bubbles out the top, you hear it bubble out. Be careful it isn't too full or it will overflow lol. Let me know if you need any help!

98Tj clutch stuck on wclutch on all time from it sitting for a month while I was replacing rear brakes and my bleeder is a flat torx25 so no way to hook up hose but I've keep master full pumped and bled and lost ability to deactivate clutch / on even with soft pedal pushed in and it got softer while bleeding??

the best way to bleed brakes or clutches is a pressure bleeder. i highly recommend them. i've also had good luck with opening the bleeder, then have your daughter push the pedal down and hold it while you close the valve, then have her let the pedal up slowly so it doesn't suck air in the back of the master cylinder for the clutch. with a little luck that will clear the air form the line. the few time that hasn't worked, using a pressure bleeder did work.

Always hard to bleed the clutch. Usually, I just bleed it the best I can and then just drive it, checking the fluid level for the next two months and eventually, the air does come out, after several heat cycles.

I'm gonna run some more fluid through, but then give this a try

@@JeepSolid From what I could tell of your pedal, you can try a little bit more; but, not much more. Law of diminishing returns.

Bull crap go to auto zone and get a vacuum pump to bleed it in some cases, you have to put a hose from the master cylinder back in the master cylinder that’s known as a bench bleed sometimes the pedal needs to be down to use the pump

We sent people to the moon(yeah right) with lesser technology than this and we can’t fix a simple clutch. Not so simple.
