I'm disabled, I have cerebral palsy, and have had issue finding a sifu to teach me martial arts. So, recently I decided to study by myself. For my body mechanics and stature, I decided on Wing Chun. These were the first and best videos I've found. Thank you for the help and inspiration

I didn't come across Dan Lok until a few months ago (not sure how!). Would sometimes see people refer to him as "Sifu" in the comments section. I thought it was being used as a term of endearment out of respect for him as a mentor. Little did I know he actually practices Chinese martial arts! Great video - hope to see more like this in the future! 🔥

I agree with the others sifu Dan. You have a lot of experience and knowledge, OTHER than your businesses acumen, that can help others just as much (if not more) during these crazy times. My head is always so much clearer, and my emotional state is in a much better place following a good training session. In my humble opinion, you should post these types of videos on a regular basis too.

Only used a dummy for da saam sin. Hung gar doesn't have wooden dummy forms, to the best of my knowledge. Correct me if I'm wrong but my experiences have shown me that teachers prefer for their students to adapt to them. How would you go about training individuals from different walks of life after they're past a beginner level? Would you personalize training based on the individual's needs and develop the skill set of the individual and the collective, or would you stick to a generic model and prefer for your students to adapt to you?

The wooden dummy, and chi sao drills are two of the main reasons why I find wing chun to be so interesting. Although I've never actually practiced the art. And it was Bruce Lee's influence which led to my interest in the martial arts overall.

How do I condition my wrists and forearms? I keep bruising up and then I find myself shying away from contact because it still hurts. How do I get past that mental block? I really don't mind contact, but I'm 62 years old and only started martial arts 1 year ago. Should I practice with buckets of sand, finger strikes, ridge hand strikes, etc. to toughen up those areas?
