I’m comparing all the Diamond Dusts I can find with the Blow By Blow studio album. So glad challenges himself to play it live. Apparently he told someone that next time he played it live it would be with a full orchestra …. Sadler that never happened; would have been terrific. Bless you Jeff ❤🙏

Someone in the Diamond Dust video posted by Godrey Townshend said that they heard Beck play it live in LA with an orchestra. Would have been a lifetime experience.

@@stringtheoryxThat would have been amazing to hear. I can see why Jeff wanted to do it ❤

Blow By Blow is such an incredible album. A true masterpiece. No wonder he turned down The Stones offer to join them. He had this up his sleeve.

Blow By Blow and Wired are two of my all-time favourite albums. Jeff's unique talent would have been wasted in The Stones IMO.

@@TheHumbuckerboyAgreed, and thus the reason Beck declined. Beck was his own Man that can never be in a Band than his own. Quite frankly all these Bullshit stories are just that. Jeff Beck did what he wanted & Thank God!

There have been many proficient guitar players, but nobody like him. He was unique, uncopyable and he forever will be. R.I.P. Jeff Beck, and thank you for sharing your talent with the world. 🤩

Amen Jeff Beck. O melhor guitarrista do mundo.

My mate Bernie Holland wrote this song. You can find his version, and the right chords to the tune on youtube. Check out his tune The Three Chimneys kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJOmequijrWfrassi=PSvoACRmNzg9BSMX and you'll be able to see what else he's recorded.

I just stumbled upon Holland's youtube page and requested the charts and chords as he had sent them to another fan requesting them. Is there any chance you can send along my email to him in hopes that he will send them along to me as well? I would very much appreciate it. This song is just otherworldly beautiful and Dave's version is such a delight to hear not only a second version, but directly from the composer himself! Thank you in advance if you happen to see my response to you!

He sure hit one of those "timeless, once-in-a-lifetime" classics with Diamond Dust. Totally unique, atmospheric, mysterious, achingly beautiful...up there with the best songs ever written. Cheers to Bernie, and very cool you're friends.

I was there that night in the 4th row. To my right there was a guy with a mic on long pole about 8 feet high recording the whole show right off of the main PA speakers. How he got to do that is beyond me.

@@BillZappasodi We'll I know that in the 70's I was able to bring in my Nikon SLR camera with telescoping lens to take pictures. I got great pics of Elton John, Billy Joel, ELO, Doobie Brothers, and a few others. No body stopped me. Unless you belong to the press there's no way you are getting full size camera's in the events but of course everyone has a cell phone these days and they can take some pretty good pictures and recordings.
