I was blessed with meeting Jeff in 1977, here in California. He was in between trying to get the Jeff Beck Group back on track., the second one. And writing, which he was having trouble doing. His Blow By Blow record took off. Just as I was with him. I had just moved from Florida. Met Jeff. Then to Arizona. When I came back, he ran into me again. Later on he recorded me in a studio. Testing out my voice. He experimented with me. Jeff was a doer. Kinda Quite. A perfectionist. He was thinking of sending me to music school. His mother made him play the piano for hours each day. I got lots of History of Rockn Roll from him. He liked me. We hung around together for sometime. Him being from England, he was interested in what the American young Culture was into. His dream was to play at the Hollywood Bowl one day. I sat up on the benches there ,walking around talking about this. Many years later, I would be here to see him play. Many times. I was at one of his last Concerts before his passing. It hurts, but he felt maybe the world needed some healing. Maybe some music would help. He tryed till the very end. Love you, Jeff. I will add a few more notes. In 1977, Jeff had Just started getting endorsements and donated instruments to Juliard. He didn't let many people into his private world. But he let me in. He put in some Beatles tapes for me to see, and some of David Bowie. We looked at Photos, and Old posters of him with the Jeff Beck Group, and The Yard Birds. I was getting a History Lesson from Jeff. In the early years, he traveled by bus to gigs 40 miles , back and forth. He made guitars out of Boxes. He was always building. Listening to his sisters records. Jeff wanted to be like Hendrix, he still never felt like he had quite gotten to where he wanted to be. And here was Jimmy Page over here with Left Zeppelin, with constant Air play. He was also upset with Rod Stewart to, so this sort of carried on through the years, because he felt that the Jeff Beck Group was his band. But that Rod as lead singer made it seem.like it was his band. After this break up, he branched out further. I am glad I was there at his home. He had boxes full of fan mail. I would read some of these to him.He was shy about what would be said. He adored his fans. Always. I'm glad I got to see him rise like an Eagle.

Introducing the BBC live sound source from the first season Jeff Beck Group. ★ Three BBC lives in March, July and November 1967 are recorded in a period of time. ★ Valuable Live of J Beck's hit song "High Ho Silver Lining" and "Tally Man". ★ Rods Stewart vocals and J Beck's gatinko wins Co-ordinating Ron Wood. ★ The transformation period from Pop Group to Heavy Rock, a legendary live bound! ★ 7 songs in total with unannounced JBG songs such as the cover of the amazing B and Bacarak. ★ Introducing the new Eternal Grooves series "Rock Off". As a member of the Yardbirds, Jeff Beck has been revamped with its genius guitar work, After 1966 group evacuation, the agility manager Mickey Most plans first Released the solo single song "Hi Ho Silver Lining" and it records the smash hit. Jeff has moved to form a new band with simultaneous progression and turned Rod Stewart into a vocal. Based on Ron Wood, it creates his own band "Jeff Beck Group". Here is the precious live recorded on BBC broadcast in 1967 during this period of production, This LP has been recorded in all 3 appearances. The song "Hi Ho Silver Lining" was created by an external composer. Jeff also challenges the vocal that is not cohesive and is also capable of recording double track (as the Beatles develops the Beatles), The guitar solo on the way is now "only available in Beck" sharp phrase You will hear the rock performance overwhelmingly compared to the official singles. And the recording of those who participate in Rod Stewart will continue to be representative songs. Rock my Plymsoul, "Wander", "Let Me Love You" etc. All take is called the original Hard Rock, so it is a loud-powerful play! As a symbol of the band during the search period, there are many unannounced songs that are also displayed Authentic Bruce Song "Stone Cold Crazy" Cover for Fort Top Loving You I Sweeter Than Ever" And the biggest surprise is the Bad Baccarack Song's cover "You'll Never Get to Heaven". When Jeff firecracking code is ringed, the main melody is inherited by Ron Wood's Base Solo. The rod, centered on the rod, the members of the Acapella Chorus, is almost unmistakable with a soft rock feel. In addition, the Beck's Bolero by Jimmy Paige is said to have a huge impact on the ZEP Includes valuable lives, such as the super heavy, You Schook Me. As a bonus, from Live at Marquee Club in London. Elmore James cover "Talk To Me Baby" or Includes 4 additional songs such as Jeffs Boogie that is also useful for Ron Wood's Gorigory Bass Introducing the new Eternal Grooves series "ROCK OFF". THE BAND Jeff Beck (Guitar) Vocal on track 01 & 09 Rod Stewart (Vocal) Ron Wood (Bass) Rod Coombes (Drums) on track 01-05 Aynsley Dunbar (Drums) on track 07-09 Mickey Waller (Drums) on track 10-14 track 01~06: Saturday Club, rec. date: March 7, 1967 track 07~09: Saturday Club, rec. date: July 4, 1967 track 10-14: Top Gear, rec. date: Nov. 1, 1967 track 15-18: Marquee Club, London Sept. 26, 1967

I wish I could get the good stuff I used to smoke when I 1st heard this .. lol these days I am an old hippie & the people who sell it are a differnt breed altogether .. but I would rather go without than compromise myself .. I always identified with Jeff becaus as he once said in an interview " it wasn't really a matter of choice for him " he just played the way he did & ( in a strange echo of the life of Danny Gatton from across the Pond ) Jeff was happier mucking around with his Cars etc & yet outside of the actual " music " Bizness he loved to play his music .. some Musicians are just not good with the Bizness but .. need to be helped by people they can trust not to rip them off .. thanks for the memories .. Ronnie & Rod were cooler back then .. but some how they made more money ?? Nothing against them .. But who knows maybe Jeff was happier ?? cheers from an old Muso washed up in the Backwoods of the Forest of Dean & missing the old days in London around Dingwalls & the Railway in West End Lane ... bye

If you haven't listened to "Beck-Ola" you should. That's my fav Jeff album. I also like his version of "I'm Going Down," "Beck's Bolero," and "Freeway Jam." I've followed Jeff since the beginning. He could play downright nasty blues all they way to something like "Greensleeves." His mother said he liked the guitar because he could make "weird noises" with it. I'm pretty sure I'll bump into him one of these days. I'll guarantee you he didn't stop playing the guitar just because he passed over to whatever comes next.

Some truly memorable music and much appreciated. Those we love are never gone. As for myself Jeff Beck could do no wrong. I still remember the first Jan Hammer tour; the evolution blew me away - meanwhile the guys were all griping. Infants. Tough lesson for a 16-year-old guitarist: the daring brave catch it right in the chops. Well, and the fans suck.

100% agree. they literally have the same fuckin tone after 1974. Beck just has a Strat, clean tone, bluesy bends, rhythm pickup, that's it. sounds like the Law and Order intro song. Ridiculous. and Clapton has made billions off the same tone. John Mayer stole himself a spot in the Grateful Dead because of that "tone".

Aside from the obvious fact that Jeff Beck was an amazing musician and possibly the greatest guitarist ever…….Listen to Ronnie Wood on bass guitar on these songs. Great. He is a good guitarist but I think he is better on the bass. He is great on those first two Jeff Beck Group albums.

Surprised they did Hi Ho because he absolutely hated it plus Tallyman as well-nothing at all like the stuff they recorded for Truth.I think one problem the JBG had was lack of material-see Beck ola also-Stewart either wasnt writing then or Beck didnt think it suited the band, who knows ?

Looking at the photo, Jeff and Rod are instantly recognizable, but who are the other two? One might be Aynsley Dunbar, the original drummer in the group, but I’m pretty sure that person isn’t Ron Wood . Any thoughts ?

Ron Wood is right behind Jeff Beck. He is on Beck's left, but from our perspective he is to the right of Beck.

I just don't get the hype. I can hardly name one product thus guy will be remembered by. Not many acts are as boring as this guy. Police, Dire Straits, rap, disco comes close, but not quite.
