My heart is broken. I still can’t get over that he’s gone. At the end of May in 2022 I saw him two nights in a row at the Royal Albert Hall. It was the sixth and seventh time that I had seen him. And it still is not enough. There is no such thing as too much Jeff Beck. God rest his soul

Brought me to tears, Jeff playing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow" (18:01 min). I can't come to terms he's gone but I feel he'd want us to laugh and remember the good times and his music ❤️ What a wonderful human being, and a musical genius! My heart goes out to his family, his wonderful wife Sandra, and his dear friend Johnny, and many others ❤❤❤

I've grown to love his personality, as well as the admiration of his skills at communicating feeling. The power of music indeed. Nadia and Serene and several others of his songs really move me - they ARE as beautiful and soulful as "Over the Rainbow." It's not worship of him, but rather a WOW factor for the continuously creative and energetic output. He's unique.

Business as usual for Jeff - leaving a trail of brain matter wherever he plays. And he does it so humbly and without fanfare. BTW, observe the amps; they're Fender Pro Jr. amps; get one if you don't have one in your arsenal. I was lucky enough to land a Made in USA tweed amp with all original electronics and the Eminence blue AlNiCo speaker (made in Chicago during August, 1994, Serial NO: T-32972, Q.A. Code EH). The controls are very sophisticated: Volume and Tone It's the best kept secret in 15 watt all tube amps and the 10" speaker will put out some serious volume; it takes pedals really well. So if it's good enough for Jeff Beck, it's good enough for me! Thanks for the upload, what a treat!

I always liked his music but never really got into it until recently, so now I'm looking for every concert video I can find. So grateful there is as much as there is! He really is incredible! He plays so carefully, so intently, and is totally focused on what he and the other musicians are playing. It's amazing how often when he's playing you see joy in his face over what he's hearing, more often than not, from another performer. There are comments admiring him everywhere. The man was truly one of a kind. My heart goes out to his wife, family, and friends.

Really interesting comment…Just less than 10 minutes in Jeff talks of standing your ground when you release an album because even if people don’t like it now they will in 10 year’s time (nostalgia). I think that is so true, but very hard for musicians to do, especially if critics are negative or albums don’t immediately sell. God bless you Jeff. I hope lots of people listen to your words of wisdom ❤

Yeah, absolutely. Those Pro Juniors there are Fender's "dumbed-down" version of the Blues Junior...but many find them to be the superior amp. Two-knob, no reverb nor master volume, ten-inch speaker instead of 12. Clearly you can listen here and tell they can sound spectacular.

Is Jeff Beck some kind of rock and roll joke? - that I just, don't get. I suppose he has had no hits or been in any great bands, then, the punters don't get him either. watch in awe the first 3 minutes and the last 3 minutes, without doubt the shittest guitarist ever to be put on the guitar legend stage. Can somebody please tell me what the fuck this guy has done for music to be held at such high esteem?
@jeffhubbs8238
@jeffhubbs8238 10 жыл бұрын
Oh, he's had hits - probably most before you were born - and he's been in a number of great bands, the first of which would be the Yardbirds and the rest were ones he led. Basically, the Yardbirds were the pipeline that Beck, Jimmy Page, and Eric Clapton came through. Of those three, Beck has been the brashest and furthest-ranging, and even if you go back to the 1968 track "Love is Blue" - an easy-listening classic! - you hear this weirdness and just plain snottiness that no other guitarist of the time would have dreamed of, and he'd been plenty scary for several years already by then. Check out "Freeway Jam" from 1977's JEFF BECK WITH THE JAN HAMMER GROUP LIVE and have him tear your head off with his first phrase. I will never come close to Jeff Beck's ability but if I can incorporate even a little bit of what goes on in his mind into what I can get a guitar to do, I'll be happy.

Honestly if I had just started listening to Jeff Beck without hearing any of his older stuff I would not think he was all that great. I, however, have a Father who is a guitarist and I grew up listening to Jeff Beck even though he was way before my time in the 60's and 60's...I also got to see him live 2 times and trust me when this guy is on he is freaking amazing talk about the most beautiful solo's that rip right inside of you. My favorite albums of his are "Who Else" and the album that came out shortly afterwards in 2003. I have not cared for anything newer he has put out since. Trust me this guy is amazing and l will go as far as saying he probably is the best Guitarist of all time. He plays his best it seems in small venues like "the House of Blues" joints be is a very shy person.

+Xwhite2020 check out a song Jeff Beck did called "Seasons" off of his 2002 album (forgot the name off the album). He plays 2 long solos in this song that are the most beautiful guitar solos I have ever heard. If you still do not realize how amazing this freak of nature is just by listening to that one song well...I do not what to say. :)
