I agree I never liked 4 door 55 or 57 chevys I don't mind 4 door impala or caprice in 60s thou , 55 and 57 don't look right with 4 doors its like a 4 door camaro or chevelle no way

I have an original 55 Chevy two door sedan that has been mine since the mid-1970s.Saw too many 55 Chevys go to the crusher.

Ive got a rough 55 2 dr wagon. Could sell it for more than its worth no problem. Ive got a 56 4 door real solid car. Not very much interest in it. So it will get the conversion. and I will tell any potential buyer it was a 4 door that was converted to a two door.

It's done for re-sale. The 2 doors are worth much more in the 55-57 Chevys. Many unsuspecting buyers are duped.

D Brown that makes sense, although you’d think that a factory 4 door is more valuable than a cut up 2 door someone converted. But I guess if the buyer doesn’t realize that it’s converted they would never know until they take it apart down the road for whatever reason
