Mark i've been living and breathing your Jeff Buckley tutorials for a week now, and today I just made a breakthrough of being able to sing and play! It just clicked today and I have this exact tutorial to thank for that. Love your stuff hope you will make a return someday. Peace.

@buritta89 - Well, yes, I do have the songbook. And I have learned a few of Jeff's songs that way. But this one and several others I learned long before I had the songbook, through listening carefully to the album, watching the Live in Chicago dvd, considering tabs I found online, and that sort of thing. :)

Yes. I just went back and watched the video again. It's obviously an A7 shape and the wrong words came out of my mouth. Just one of several blunders I've noticed here and there in these videos. You guys are keeping me in line. :)

Hi Marke! Firstly your tutorials are really great! I'm a fellow Jeff fanatic and have learned three of his songs from your lessons - so thanks a lot! Two question that came about today whilst listening to the album version and the youtube acoustic version (I'm not a player and I don't have great ears): I'll post the questions in a separate comment because I'm running out of characters! :/ haha.

I'm pretty sure, it's an A7 shape. From low E to high e, x02020. The open G is the dominant 7th of A. A2 would be, x02200 Open B is the perfect 2nd of A.

Parts like thee.. Jeff liked because it gave his divine gymnastic voice all the room it needed to soar and swoop. Otherwise these a e some deadly dense broken (beautiful) chord shapes.

hi there. i love all your videos. but could you please do a video where you are just playing the entire song? .. maybe over the tune too. that would be such a big help as well. your videos are goddamn superb. thanks a ton.

First question: Coming out of the first verse you say that it goes back to the A7 shape on the 6th to 4th frets (5th and 3rd strings) - It sound to me like he goes from the F shape you taught, back to the A7 shape on the 7th fret with index on 3rd string 5th fret, but then goes to (from low sounding G) 707700 back to 707600 and finally to 700000. 2nd question: at the "angry part" instead of barring at the third he seems to play maybe a (in regular tuning) Fm shape chord? What do you think?

That's not a bad idea. "Lover You Should Have Come Over" is fun to play. And it's not that tricky. A large percentage of it is chords you will likely already know. I'll put that together one of these days.

Yeah, a suggestion to your viewers; if they don't have the fingers for the chords, go and play something a chimp can do. Deep Purple, how about that? Actually, don't touch a guitar please. Other than that, thumbs up for the tutorial.
