Well i'm lying in my bed The blanket is warm This body will never be safe from harm Still feel your hair, black ribbons of coal Touch my skin to keep me whole If only you'd come back to me If you laid at my side I wouldn't need no Mojo Pin to keep me satisfied Don't wanna weep for you, I don't wanna know I'm blind and tortured, the white horses flow The memories fire, the rhythms fall slow Black beauty I love you so Precious, precious silver and gold and pearls in oyster's flesh Drop down we two to serve and pray to love Born again from the rhythm screaming down from heaven Ageless, ageless I'm there in your arms Don't wanna weep for you, I don't wanna know I'm blind and tortured, the white horses flow The memories fire, the rhythms fall slow Black beauty I love you so So, so... The welts of your scorn, my love, give me more Send whips of opinion down my back, give me more Well it's you I've waited my life to see It's you I've searched so hard for... Don't wanna weep for you, I don't wanna know I'm blind and tortured, the white horses flow The memories fire, the rhythms fall slow Black beauty I love you so So, black black black black beauty...

Actually I haven't heard this version, I thought it was a different one. It's like the guy never left! I too have heard ~ 80 recordings of this song, and never heard this one until now. And I heard another song today, a song I had never heard him sing. And it's his birthday!

I just love the last verse how the bass changes and the reverbed atmosphere backs that beautiful riff. The Glastonbury version of that verse is also worth checking out, although the quality is not so good.

Frank Frank YESS, the Glastonbury version of this is my favorite. Although this one also has that sweet hypnotic quality that I can't get over.

Amazing indeed. Thank you for posting it. Have you heard the Mojo Pin version at the Liquid Room? It's incredibly more sensual. Enjoy!

probably his Alesis Quadraverb on the Taj Mahal setting (reverb mix turned up, long decay, little/no attack), and he might've used digitech whammy pedal for the higher pitched, shimmering sounds. Plus, he fingerpicks with a very light touch to make it sound synth-like

+John Arundell Hi John, Unfortunately this is in an album titled "live" in which i threw all my tracks that had no dates. I couldn't extract this from the folder without going through with a frequency doohickey and finding hte exact ambient pitch of each track im sorry :( What i can possibly do, is source the original folder and get back to you with what was in that.
@johnarundell79518 жыл бұрын
thetwentysix thhour I've got that but this isn't it .. if you want to get Wetlands version again it's on the Last Goodbye EP which was rereleased in a 5 disc set called The Grace EPs :) you can also get your Australian double CD of Grace at discogs.com but they are quite expensive.
