I saw Jeff in 1994 in Austin, Tx at a record store. Him and his mates were doing stuff that my friend and I were amazed by.....afterward I bought Grace he signed it I cherished it, then a freak girlfriend knew how much it meant to me. Stole it then burned it! Wanna talk about loss!

Never heard this before! Way better than most of the second disc of Sketches :) how could they leave this off? My Sweetheart The Drunk probably would have been the greatest album ever made if Jeff and the band had been able to redo it properly to his satisfaction. The first disc is great anyway and he totally scrapped it which was an amazingly bold move. I mean it was done. Anyone else would kill to have songs as good as Everybody Here Wants You, New Year's Prayer, The Sky Is A Landfill, Morning Theft, etc. Incredible talent and commitment. We love you Jeff.

"They" didn't leave this off. Jeff must have done it, because the album is literally sketches of what Jeff intended to be My Sweetheart The Drunk.

I like it better than Grace. It’s so raw. So Jeff. The best original songs, all Jeff with no Gary writing. If the demos and covers were all on a separate release, I don’t think anyone would dispute its greatness. New Year’s Prayer, Everybody Here Wants You, Haven’t You Heard, Nightmares by the Sea, even rough cuts like Thousand Fold and Jewel Box strike the heart as a devastating blow of what could have been. But also with the beauty of what already was; the purest look into the mind and heart of Jeff Buckley we ever got.

Could there be anything more beautiful? I love this man. I just heard an acoustic version of Lover You Should've Come Over that I hadn't heard before, and it was like hearing the song the first time all over again, all the floods of emotion and power of the first time I heard it. Why'd you have to make me cry in the middle of the library! haha.

Most of his songs make me cry, specially Calling You, which I recently heard a cover from a girl for the polish The Voice, that was so touching... that just gave me hope about how there are still people with this gift to get the emotions out of our hearts by the music!

There's 7 male legendary underrated musicians who are incredible and are insanely talented and that is Jeff Buckley, Elliott Smith, and Mac Christopher from the 1990s And the other 4 are ones that started in the 1960s like Tim Buckley, Nick Drake, Tim Harding, and Jackson C Frank.
