STORYLINE
jeff and steffy have this pull towards eachothers and jeff can't seem to forget her, or steffy him. but jeff is having issues, mainly due how his marriage ended and he have trust issues, even though deep down he knows steffy wouldn't hurt him. when jeff is shot, steffy is insanely worried and that scares jeff as he's still emotionally struggling and he breaks up with her. later on he apologizes to her and tells her he can't be with her and asks if they can be friends, which she accepts. however, when a suspect is arrested at chicago fire department where steffy who used to be a firefighter (is now doctor) is visiting, during the suspect going to a bathroom, he shoots steffy who is rushed to hospital, with her coding multiple times on the ambulance. at med, the doctors are able to resurrect her, with everyone (especially jeff) and everyone from 51 being worried, especially cindy herrmann who is steffy's close friend and the godmother of cindys and chris's daughter. later on, after come, she wakes up with jeff by her side, with severide asking casey if he thinks that steffy knows how much jeff loves her, with casey responding "she knows"
