Very special race to me seeing that it's my home track. I remember I was 11 years old and the Friday before the race I had to go for a dentist appointment and all of the dental assistants were wearing uniforms that had NASCAR patches on them that had driver numbers, the assistant that was tending to me that day happened to have the #17 patch on her shirt and I started a conversation like, "Matt Kenseth, huh?" and told her I knew Gordon was going to win the race on Sunday. She disagreed, of course, actually being a Kenseth FAN and we all know the state of the two fanbases in 2006 after Bristol. Thankfully, I was right in the end, I wonder how she felt watching the race that day.

Off topic slightly but I was looking at this channels videos and seen Gordon’s 42nd win in 1998. Just wild that he had that many wins already…

What they accomplished during their five year run from '95-'99 I doubt will ever be duplicated.

Why was Jeff Gordon on probation? If anyone that should’ve been probation or suspended was Kenseth. What he did at Bristol was unacceptable. Jeff doesn’t race too dirty. Glad he won and got revenge on Kenseth

Honestly the best thing to happen to kenseth was getting spun. He was going to run out and finish last.

Peopor always say I'm crazy for saying this, but Gordon never touched him. Kenseth was already going around on in his own.

back when people actually cared. Sport is missing personality. Really miss Gordon. :'(

I was there as well! I remember when in Earnhardt took the lead in 2005, the whole crowd erupted in cheers. When Gordon “spun” Kenseth in 2006, the place exploded with a chorus of boos. What a contrast, but it shows how much people cared about this sport.

Number one, use proper english. Number two, that wasn't aggressive driving, Kenseth got tight and Gordon was in the gas sooner. Unfortunate circumstance yes, encumber-able, aw hell no!

Gordon never touched him
@badbooking32215 жыл бұрын
@@Thomas-ib9iu I disagree. Look at Kenseth's left-rear fender post-spin and see the wrinkle in the metal. As someone else noted Kenseth got loose and Gordon finished him off.
