Agreed with David!! My pastor once told me forgiveness does not equate to reconciliation. You can love someone from over there like you said and forgive them and never really interact with them again. I have a parent that I feel like this with I went through years and years of abuse and finally when I was old enough I snuck out moved out and I never turn back. Moved to another part of the country and did what i had to do to survive on my own. Best decision I ever made. They never contacted me for 10 years after that because they knew what they were going to do but I realized that they had been living their best life. They got remarried they have big parties and celebrations for my other siblings day did not care about the harm they did to me or the abuse they moved on with their life and it just proved to me that waiting on a apology or even wanting them to be in my life after proving to me that they could care less... I was being delusional and I only wanted to have them in my life to fill a void. Once ppl show you who they are no matter the relationship Believe them and move accordingly. Don't wait on ppls apologies The best revenge is to move on and be healthy and stable. You don't need anyone who doesn't appreciate your presence in their lives. Learn from the hurt.

I find it harder to break up with FRIENDS than lovers?!😂 it's easy to have a big screaming match with an ex-boyfriend and move on and everyone accepts this. But, it is much more socially NOT acceptable to cut a friend off. People think you should try and mend fences. I have a few friends in my life who have overstayed their welcome...and I'd be honestly be happy to never speak to them again, as we have grown apart and are totally different people...but it's so tricky to "break up" with an old friend and tell them you don't wanna see them anymore 😂
