The entire soundtrack to Electric Dreams is worth tracking down. Good movie.

Back in the 1980s I wrote to Jeff letting him know I loved 'Let it Run.' I was rewarded with his autograph.

Wow, I should probably have searched for myself on KZbin sooner. Hi, I'm the editor who made this video. I'm glad everyone likes it so much! I've been a fan of Jeff Lynne's music ever since I saw Xanadu and Electric Dreams as a kid. I've made videos of several ELO/Lynne songs, including this one, as well as "Don't Walk Away" and "The Fall" from the Xanadu soundtrack. "The Fall" is available on KZbin (search for rAq4C6auY78). I'll see if I can find a clean copy of "Don't Walk Away" to upload.

Hi Lee! Did you make an anime video like this for 'Get Your Rocks Off'? I saw it about 10 years ago and haven't been able to find it since back then. Great job on this one either way!

They were right in saying that the ELO were a 90's band in the 70's! Great vid, Thanx for uploading m8!

I posted a letter through Jeff's letterbox in 1986 telling him I liked this song. I received a signed photo, by all of ELO, about a year later.

Okay, so who is going to update this with more modern anime? I would love to see that happen, but I don't have the time.

Awesome. Especially the way scenes are selected to match the lyrics. You can tell that whoever made this loves both anime and the song.

gotta say I'm not into anime (a lot of it is just too weird for my taste, even Astro Boy just seemed too far removed from other cartoons), but I'm like Lee here, a big fan of 80's music from movie soundtracks like Electric Dreams and Xanadu (ELO featuring in most of it) and Jeff Lynne is an 80's music god. if you want a throwback to the mid-80's then watch Electric Dreams, especially this bit where the computer takes over the apartment and has a party for itself. it's hilarious when the neighbours get involved (that's tellin 'em Howard!).

I saw clips from Lupin III, Slayers, Project A-Ko, and a show whose name escapes me. There is one clip that I would be most interested in learning which film it came from. The part where the person is flying on the glider and getting chased by a giant bug. I saw that movie when I was a child and do not know the name of it.
@gilbyit13 жыл бұрын
@feiery the person is flying on the glider is Nausicaa from Movie "Nausicaa and the valley of the wind" by Hayaho Miyazaky
