Nice job, Jeff! This deserves more views. There is a lot of misinformation and misunderstanding about Haitian drumming in the US. Your lesson is very thorough and you know what you are talking about. Many people pay $ for a lesson and won't learn as much as they would from your video. Bon bagay! Ayibobo pou ou!

Thanks for posting this. As a drummer, I love learning new rhythms and the Haitian bolero is definitely new to me. It would have been awesome to see all or at least the main parts put together but I don't know how one might go about doing that any place except a drum circle.

We're planning to do many more videos starting around June 2017. There should be a total of 25 - 30, each one showing the individual parts of a rhythm, and then all of the parts layered together to show the full ensemble. The idea is to document as many Haitian rhythms as Jeff knows (and that's a lot!!). It's taken some time to get the software and equipment together to do this. Glad you are enjoying this one first effort - much more is on the way. Thanks for viewing! Check out the new videos at my other channel: kzbin.info/door/bEgeQnDWxIcUWRCQy2yMtQ?view_as=subscriber

Thats awesome. It amazing. I'm so happy right now cause I really wanted to find a way to learn my origines rhythms. On top of that your lessons are clear. With that I should be able to play them properly. Thank you again.
