To all that call out Roger’s hypocrisy; you are in the right. Although, the difference is that Jeff is upbeat and friendly and most of all a pushover, so there’s no real drawback from pushing him around and possibly driving him away other than Hayley leaving(I say that cuz if she does anything that jeopardizes the family and the attic Roger will step in), Roger however is a psychopath with two big drawbacks to expressing their distaste in his mooching. One, it’s literally part of his physical anatomy to be a giant douche and let it out or he’ll die, and two, risking driving Roger away means he could have his cover blown and they’ll punish the family for treason if he’s traced back to them. More or less Jeff is singled out cuz he’s got no other reason to be a mooch unlike the alien they have to put up with even though both are “family”.
