Fun fact SHINee were the group to popularise the standard of kpop groups even doing dance practices for their songs. I believe they were the first to do one and in typical SHINee fashion it caught on like wildfire.

I think that they popularize the standard of dance that we are used to seeing in kpop today. Technique, Synchronization etc. they started it and they don't get enough credit for it if any at all. I think instead of being labelled 'princes of kpop' they should also be given the title of king along with the likes of TVXQ, Super Junior, Big Bang and EXO.

@@koolkid9836 SHINee started the whole intricated dance movement, also unusual chord progression in sonfs and make idols first and foremost performers and artists not just celebrities that can perform here and there too, they amped the kpop game for real. I remember when Lucifer was released a lot of routines were changed and a lot of groups had trouble releasing singles and practice videos.(which they also started)

What you said about Jeno having an aura about his stage presence is how I feel watching Haechan, but it shows way more with him in 127, and I think it's because he's more of a vocal focus in dream, where they have Taeil and Doyoung as main vocals in 127. Every time he is dancing though, he steals my focus because of the way he looks like he just breathes dance, it looks effortless and his personality comes through in his footwork especially. Bouncing and gliding everywhere lol

It's just that Quiet Down is just a side track of the album. Sometimes, choreography of sidetracks are not that "hyped" or tight so it's not really a big deal. This is just my opinion, as I've seen in many kpop groups that I've stan for years.

Even though it is just a bsides but the choreo still as intense as Boom or even more than it because they always perform Stronger during Boom promotions time, unlike Quiet Down that only being performed on the first week. I think that's makes sense why Quiet Down choreo kinda toned down and not as intense

jisung's actually a very "clean" dancer, he has his shortcomings (the most noticeable to me is that he tends no not raise his knees/feet as high as other members, but since he's taller it doesn't matter that much), but not finishing moves is not a current thing for him, but it can happen, boy's not a machine after all. I think his stronger trait is his musicality, Jisung has a great sense (Mark once called him a "beat monster") and his preferred style, popping, benefits greatly from this. if you have time, check out the dance practices for their award show performances, there are 3 in NCT's Dance Channel (the 3 videos between boom dance practice and taeyong's freestyle dance). Jisung has solo pieces in two of the intro stages, and the choreos showcases their strengths a lot, especially jisung's popping and renjun's isolation

Um just gonna share what I noticed. The first time I noticed this was Jisung and Chenle's vertical video dancing to Ridin'. If y'all go back to Jisung's solo part his other foot was tilting up and down by the 'Reloading' part and when he did it with the other members, you would notice that he's the only doing that.

They usually fim dance practices after the comeback. You can tell their dancing is much better here than in the music video, and when they filmed a reaction to the mv they said something along the lines of "it looks good, but we dance even better now". Also, it's one of the reasons why Red Velvet never got to film an official dance practice for Psycho, only the performance version. They were supposed to film it right after all the year end shows and that's when Wendy suffered those face and pelvis injuries. Side note, lest we forget: screw SBS.

I also felt like NCT Dream's dancing line have their own styles that you can notice like Jeno is more powerful and sharp; Jisung is detailed and clean; Jaemin is smooth and fluid. I’m no expert but i think maybe Jisung not finishing his moves in this video comes from him trying to have like a popping vibe to it (like when you do a hit then you have to relax after that for a moment so instead of tightening his muscles the whole time he relaxed them occasionally)

I honestly love this channel. I relate to u a lot cuz Ridin is my first comeback with NCT Dream as well. I normally never watch reaction vids but ur reactions are LITERALLY the exact same as mine. Trust me i was like "Chenle, are u ok?" at the rap in Ridin and at his deep voice in Quiet Down. Our boys be ridin and reloading over there.
