The concept of the mv is that they’re all in a prison. You can see the concept more if you watch the teaser videos. The v at the end is supposed to be the prison and the red dots are each of the members.

In fact k-choreo this time isn't the best to watch their choreo. At the beginning of the second verse they were blocked by cameramen and also Ten and YangYang obviously had some problems with their clothes (Ten's jacket looked like it weight a ton and YangYang had this stupid string on his pants) so I would've recommended to watch Music Core fancam, it's better IMHO About album - it feels like they did more rap-centric album, even in songs like After Midnight where YangDeryLuWin have not a lot of lines. But it's fine, WayV are very versatile and can pull off this, they still have some golden vocal parts in all songs. And about abs - at this point I think they all have it. YangYang flashed it in Korean version of MV (a very short shot but it can be seen), LuWinKun showed it a lot in MV, Ten showed his in The Stage, I think there were some short shots of Hendery's. They jokes a lot about Xiao so maybe he actually has it too.

It's interesting because I find this choreo one of their more intricate ones because it feels like they are always shifting energy from one foot to another very quickly and there is a lot of floor work. can we talk about ten's isolations(not sure if that is the right word here but his body control) when hitting the last move

Yay I'm so glad you've got to watch this finally! I've been patiently waiting since the mv released 😁 I was also a bit disappointed with this choreo, particularly the dance break. They changed it from the dance break on in the live performances and I do like the dance break better in the live. I wish you'd watched the other live though cause the camera gets in the way less and you see the dance break clearer. The boys have said in lives that they don't have powers (like EXO), that the story in this follows from previous videos, but also that the story is open to interpretation, it's not fixed. They also confirmed Ten is the one that locks them up in this 😁

1 thing SM does that you've pointed out a few times are these group "signatures" and they really work You have nct "universe" signature way of dancing and moves, and inside that you have wayvs specific way of dancing being different than nct127 even with similar themes You have EXO lore and bridges, Shinee synths (cue to superhuman anyone?) and progression, and red velvet vocal layering and stuff.
