Yeah, that's rad... I remember frank bello talking about playing Steve Harris gallops three fingered because he couldn't imagine he had only used two. I'm self taught and went from guitar hero/ rb3(midi) to Rocksmith, so on a five button guitar controller I always used my thumb over the first button, then four finger fretting, and to make it more authentic I started using the corresponding strumming fingers as though PIMA were the four bass strings (no pinkie plucking, but I tend to use it with my ring finger for extra "coke nail" picks downstrumming chords!). I recently switched to bass vi, hoping to re-create the GH stoke! 😂

I like to do the first of those four quick notes as a dead note, like: "1. land with ring finger on string. 2. Pluck ring finger. 3. Pluck middle finger. 4. Pluck pointing finger", it's the easiest way I can manage to do it

I would assume it's the ring finger, it took a minute but I got the technique down, it's almost like you're tapping with your three fingers but in an upward motion
