Now season 1-2 he had to go to gambi for his suit I believe….I know it was a couple of times he wanted to go out as black lightning and gambi wouldn’t give him a chip for his suit

SPOILERS AHEAD!!! Finale wasn't great. Ending felt off. No real price hardly. Practically a picture perfect happy ending and they didn't even do that right with everyone barely showing the appropriate emotional response to the good news and everything. Only price or cost was Tobias's death with how Jeff was "forced" to kill him. He wasn't by the way. He could have just blocked the bullets with a force field which he's done instinctively through the series. Tobias's death was probably one of the few things the finale did right and yet was still done so incredibly wrong given that. That and the real Jen coming back were the probably the only good things storywise.

@@speedypanda4169 I don't know if that necessarily means the execution couldn't have been better. And the scene seemed to imply Jeff had to blast Tobias when he pulled out his guns. He was saying "No Tobias don't" or something like that and then blasted him for the finish when he probably could have used force fields instead

He had his watch on him that transforms him into his suit. With the electricity he got from the promethium, he took some of the power and charged it into his watch, helping him transform.
