This is a magical performance. I happen to see both of them in concert, in 1982 ... Jeffery was the headliner and Niecy was the opening act. whatta super bill; one I will never forget. To see this video is indeed unreal for me; shows how powerful these folks were a generation ago -- even though they still have their chops, and can still command top dollar on the performance circuit. Deniece's voice is so strong - she had to be careful not to sing so loud,lol. Most beautiful and unique voice I've ever heard. If she had more of a pop sound -She would've been even more of a legend.Should've been a mega star like Aretha F .Her vocal ability is stunning.Donna Summer did a lot of pop music because it allowed her to use other parts of her voice .There is such thing as being " too Black " when it comes to selling records.
