Holidayed a lot in that area. Lerryn is one of our favourite spots for a walk along the river followed by a snack and cuppa from the shop and sit by the river at the stepping stones crossing. We had to say goodbye to our Staffie “Bobby” back in April this year. He loved Lerryn too, many happy hours walking ! Thanks Saddlebags, brought back some precious memories of happier times, but a little sadness that the little man has gone. Ride safe and stay well.

Lerryn has become one of my favourite places. Twinks and I will return and I’ll treat her to a pub meal and a nice walk. I went back with a some friends on bikes a few weeks after filming this. We sat near the stepping stones munching on some very tasty pasties from the shop at the car park entrance. Such a beautiful spot. Aww that’s very sad, I know how attached we get to our dogs. My son lost his Staffie last year (Alfie - but I affectionately called him Pig Dog). He has another one now called Lula (which I affectionately call Truffle Hunter). That was some pretty cool drone flying, when you went under the bridge I was waiting for the roar of the Merlin engine. Wifey and I like to take a picnic sometimes when we go out for a ride too. Thank you Jeff for showing us such a beautiful place.

Hello my friend. I returned to Lerryn a couple of weeks after this with a few others on bikes. We found the pasties in the shop by the entrance to be of ample deliciousness. Nice day for a bimble around, some interesting little backroads. I like to go steady on them as well, too many 4x4s and SUVs flying through them at inappropriate for the visibility and conditions these days. Not sure that would've been too keen to try Lerryn ford with that amount of water mind! 😄 Your drone look to have a fair range on it, must've been to the point of difficult to see 'n that far away? 👍

What a nice looking place Lerryn is. It loox like an excellent place to do some canoeing too. Nice easy entry points and calm waters . Have you done any canoeing? I remember you saying a few months ago you were thinking about it. I moved mine from the front garden to the back garden. Great fun it was🤗

Ah your memory is sharp. I bought a kayak a few months ago (two of them actually - I was roped into a deal) and I went out for the first time last weekend on Roadford Lake to see if I could drive it. Tomorrow I’m heading up the Tamar from Halton Quay to Calstock and back, if all goes to plan. I definitely want to paddle it around Lerryn. The end goal is to explore the coast. Went for a ride to my favourite pub next to a canal after work one sunny evening. Lovely sight ducks and a string of goslings following behind. Ah, lovely! Then the end one suddenly disappeared, followed, quickly by the next! 😱 I assumed a Pike! That’s nature for you! The pub closed during Covid and hasn’t opened again! That’s tragedy for you! 😥Also one of the benches I often sat on, how I had never noticed I’ve no idea but I read it one night and it was dedicated to me! Apparently I’d died and no one had told me! 😱🤣
