I didn't pick up Makkari on release, but she's sure as hell pinned in my shop now after seeing Jeff put her to good use the last few days.

I've been thinking of getting the pass, but I don't have Shaw yet. I've saved up 6k tokens that I would ne able to spend on him, but I don't know if it's worth getting him over Gilgamesh, Blink, Sersi, Red Guardian or Sage. I know I'll get the other missing cards from future spotlights. So is it worth getting Shaw over these other cards?

I'm running Sword Master in place of Makkari in the version with Brood and Forge. I still have to play him, but 7 power is nothing to sneeze at, and it's an additional way to discard to help get Strong Guy to his lower hand size requirement. Goes to 9 with one Surfer proc, potentially higher if Gwenpool hits him. He definitely doesn't do what Makkari does, but this version of the deck has gotten me to the 90s in two days.

I've been away from Snap for a while and decided to give it another try at Arishem week, I had a fair amount of keys and got him on the second chest (first was Cersei even though I didn't had any of the other two). He feels fun and a good card for those with a small collection, but I feel I have no chance in mirror's when the opponent has Loki. It seems almost mandatory to be oppressive with Arishem.

That first game could have gone south if the Arishem player Zola in Kamar-Taj to shift both Valentina and Infininaut into the other lanes. Edit: He probably took a 50/50 on contesting right or left after seeing the double Gwenpool.

I feel like the people that hate Loki are the sorts of players that play very straightforward, linear decks. Those kinds of decks feel like the sorts of decks that Loki performs well against. The tech cards and being able to quickly get big payoffs on low effort combos is exactly what Loki is good against. Granted, there are other subjective, personal reasons to dislike your typical Loki deck, but the above is the impression I get. Jeff tends to play a lot of decks that require game-long building towards a payoff, which doesn't seem to suit Loki and his board-space hungry nature.

@@nathantargaryenlauw7216 naw, opponent just lost a 50-50. Either Zola wins mid (surfer was pulled by Doc Ock making mid buffs unlikely) and leaves Hulk, Infinaut, and Val in one side lane. It’s just a 50-50 guess whether playing for left or right.

I’m stuck deciding to search/save for Makkari or Mockingbird. I’m a big surfer player but Mockingbitd has felt so omnipresent that it feels should be the card. Any thoughts?

I'm probably not the one you asked for tips from, but it's worth noting that there are successful Surfer builds that run Mockingbird so she might be scratching both itches so to say.
