You can do it in any order technically, but if you have them all, I would install the chime pro first.

It’s really great that you mentioned right up front that if you are also going to have floodlight cameras fairly far removed from your router, this Chime Pro will act as a WiFi extender “and you’ll definitely want that.” This fact alone tells me that I don’t want the basic chime. But I need a chime in the back of my house because my hearing isn’t good and I can’t always here the doorbell chime that is near my front door.

If anyone is trying to get better Wi-Fi connection due to poor Wi-Fi connection YOU NEED THIS. My outdoor stickup cam was having a poor connection and always offline. I bought the chime pro and PROBLEM SOLVED.

When my ring doorbell button is pressed, it rings twice, it flashes blue and my chime pro rings twice. However, after that, while my ring doorbell is still flashing blue and if it rings again, my chime pro doesn't ring anymore. So, if we don't hear the alert on the chime pro the first time, it won't alert us no matter how many times someone rings the doorbelI. Is there anyway to change that in the settings, so it could alert us everytime the doorbell button is pressed?

I have this issue and unfortunately, I think it’s by design. When Ring is pressed, recording commences and until that finishes, Chime will not sound any further Ring presses. The only thing you could try is reducing the video recording length to 15 seconds. Though, if you found a fix, please let me know!

I have a ring wired at the front door and another ring wired at the back door. The ring chime pro will not allow a different chime for each ring wired location (although you can do so in the app) Seems like someone missed the boat on this one, but hope it will be added soon ☹️

That depends how far away your router is and your camera or doorbell.

He's correct. I think without it, it only goes like 60 or 70 feet so it does depend on the distance from your router to camera and the sizes of your house or apartment.
