Yes and they're also above the law. They want federal charges because NY abolished the death penalty and since a rich guy was killed, that's different. You have to still have the death penalty. He's one person shot by one person like anyone else in NY every week of the year. There's no federal law that applies here, no death penalty, and no terrorism charges. Luigi took a life... a decision made solely by him as he was playing the judge, jury, and executioner. Brian was a CEO of a company, he had to follow protocol. He didn't sit at his desk and examine the details of people's personal life, then make a decision based on this feelings, like "oh jonn ate meat and love cows so claim denied" actually that wouldn't even be a accurate comparison! An accurate comparison would be Brian getting John's claim and then saying " John eats meat and I love cows, f John I'm going to get on a plane, show up to John's house and strangle him"

First off, Brian Thompson. Him and his wife have lived apart for 7+ years and divorced. His kids are 19 and 14 years old. Since he became CEO of UHC, he eliminated a lot of their workforce, he took employee bonuses away, the denial of benefits rose to 32%. He wasn't real popular. The people on the phones were given a quota of how many denials were required every month. Now I am not saying he should have been murdered, but it puts things in a different light for me. But there are many people who probably had it in for him. The picture of the smiling guy in the hostel. I do not think that is Luigi Mangioni. The shape of the face is different. The picture guy his face is narrow, angular, pointy nose. The skin tone is different. Luigi's face is more oval, chin rounded, his nose is not pointy. I think the teeth even look different. And the taxi pictures, how do you know that is the guy who pulled the trigger. You don't. You need to do better research. They have said he was spotted 50 blocks away from the crime scene, 6-7 minutes prior to the crime. He must be a fast mover. As for Lee Harvey Oswald, if you think he is the lone guy who assassinated JFK, think again. He wasn't. But he was the fall guy for it. And fyi, I am not a gen z or x or anything. I am a 72 yo woman, who happens to think Luigi Mangione is not the guy that pulled the trigger on Brian Thompson.

I totally agree with you. Plus it's fishy that the shooter got to the bus station but there is no footage of what bus he got on? In a bus station??? They have all this footage of him riding a bike through NYC but nothing after that. I think the shooter made his escape then, maybe someone picked him up, but he was allowed to escape, probably to another country. Then poor Luigi five days later is minding his own business in a McDonalds and gets arrested and info planted on him. He was probably already picked out as a fall guy, just like Oswald.

A 50 year old here who agrees with everything you've said...especially the better research part. His lawyer absolutely needs to go in with the attitude of the OJ lawyers and say "Prove beyond 100% doubt that it was Luigi" If it's not 100, I won't buy it. And I commented on another video that EVEN if it was Luigi, his motive was to bring light to how the rich are swindling the middle class and the poor for as much money as possible. And this guy Jeff admits he pays $42,000 a year for insurance. And will continue to pay in the thousands for it. He doesn't deserve Luigi to stand up for him. As someone who hasn't had insurance for 3 years and never will again - I can't imagine why others willingly just hand over so much money to the wealthy. WHY? Whoever the shooter was brought something to the forefront to be discussed but it seems the lemmings would rather everything just stay the same. They aren't willing to put their foot forward and cancel coverage like I have. The ones who aren't currently sick and paying the health premiums anyway are who are to blame for the top 1% accumulating all their wealth. And then they just sit here and judge the shooter or Luigi. The mug shots seem to be similar to the taxicab video. Is the person who took the taxi the same one who did the shooting? This is why we have trials. Mr. Mangione is innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. We shall see.

If the killer ditched the backpack in Central Park and supposedly took a bunch of stuff; gun, silencer, etc.; how did he take that stuff to the Port Authority Bus station, and on at least one bus? Did he have another bag waiting in the park? If Mangione was arrested carrying a firearm that's ballistics and ammunition match those at the murder scene, that would be the most damning. If not, it could be exculpatory. There seem to be many holes in the evidence we know about. I hope it's an open trial.

The person in the cab looks like he's wearing fake brows and trying to look like Luigi. Luigi is very easy to spot in pictures even with a health mask. Check out these facial recognition comparisons. And he just happen to be near the area and look a bit like the shooter. Honestly, I still don’t believe any of the evidence is matching because they’re saying wrappers and water bottle near the crime scene that doesn’t prove him of committing the crime. The manifesto was not released by mainstream media. None of the arrest footage was released either. How do we know they just didn’t find someone that happened to match up to the crime they wanted to hurry up and solve and plant evidence they already found? It’s all very fishy!

Exactly. 1st of all, no "actual shooting footage" shows either person's face. I am not a self-proclaimed expert on the subjects of facial recognition, ID comparison, and photograph comparison, along with other fields, This video makes the same comparisons, over and over, how many times in 25 minutes? Same conclusion, just different wording. Again I am not an expert, but I do have an amount of knowledge in the field of MK. (Mind Control). One of the first steps is "repetition" hearing the same thing over and over using different approaches to the same outcome. MK UlTRA tactics used 911 and COVID. Using the media to brainwash the masses into whatever agrees with the agenda, "We are all in this together", was EVERYWHERE. TV, radio, signs, newsprint, and even product packaging. Makes one wonder how much this guy is being paid for his services?

Not guilty - picture doesn’t match, bag pictures don’t match, jackets don’t match, information about reading uni bomber doesn’t match because his roommate was the person to suggest reading the book uni bomber for the surf house book club. Roommate also was the person to suggest Luigi write a review of the conversation they had regarding the book club read - to write it on a public platform. Wrong guy by mistake or being framed but Not guilty. No picture showing face of shooter who shot CEO. Story also weird because the older man at McD was not the original person who noticed Luigi but the McD employee in an interview said “a customer came up to him and mentioned that Luigi looked like the guy in news”. It's almost like someone didn't want him to attend that investor's meeting/conference. Was he going to say something off script? He was being investigated for insider trading along with some other very wealthy and powerful people. And, as far as all the evidence regarding Luigi, that could have been easily planted if it was decided that he was to be the Patsy and the fall guy. They are not going to depend on a Patsy to make sure the CEO doesn't make it to that meeting. So, they hire a professional and procure a look a-like Patsy (Luigi) to blame it on. They collect a coffee cup and food bar wrappers from their Patsy when they meet with him and totally plant over-the-top evidence on or around him. Luigi said he was Set Up. I don't know if he's lying, but we know for certain very wealthy powerful and often politically connected people function above the law and lie to us all the time.

Some people have done so, however, independently, and also using facial recognition technology. That technology is finding that the faces do NOT match LM. Plus there is a portrait artist who's studied and reproduced countless faces and he says they are not the same people. I find that LM is very distinct looking, and if you compare his known photos to known photos of him in a mask, he's very easy to recognize in a mask as well.

Plus theyre wearing different jackets and almost every photo that they have of them. A taxi jacket is different from the shooters jacket, and the early photo of him at the hostel. If you're traveling and staying at a hostel, you don't carry three different jackets with you.

He listed his few possessions, including a sub-list of his minimal amount of clothing. So he sure wouldn't be carrying 3 jackets even if he wasn't in a hostel. (This would also make him easy to imitate with clothing since he'd predictably be wearing the same things all the time.)

Now I'm suddenly the killer too! There's something very strange about this, esp since other photos of very similarly clothed individual(s) circulated immediately after the shooting. Exactly. It's almost like they're pulling photos from random locations. There's no explanation or rationale as in a well-constructed probable cause affidavit. Which is stunning too given the magnitude of the charges. i.e. that they don't even feel that they have to rationally justify or explain themselves. Also, Luigi was a minimalist who posted online every item of clothing he had and wore. He listed all his possessions, but he literally had a category listing his clothing items in detail, the item being very few and because he was a minimalist. And as I recall, he even explains why, to readers, he has each item. IOW, it would be exceeding easy for someone to dress just like him and know that he was dressed a certain way any given day of the week. He was very predictable this way, it seems.

I went into this with an open mind and thought you proved your point but there is a discrepancy I'd like to address. The shooter has on a brown jacket and Luigi has on a blue one. There is another photo released by NYPD of the man in a brown jacket and his face/eyebrows are way different. They are way thinner and a lighter shade of brown. They can show us pictures of Luigi in NYC all day long but that in and of itself doesn't prove that he's the shooter. Also if the gun was 3d printed how reliable would the methods of matching them up be?

These are NOT the released photos that most people are disputing Jeff. There was/ is another set of photos of the supposed masked suspect that were released that 100% look absolutely NOTHING like Luigi. These photos show a masked suspect with a much narrower nose bridge and eyebrows not even close to Luigi. There is no doubt it is a different person. I think these photos are why there is so much doubt.

I'll agree, I wish Jeff covered those pictures and especially the nose does look a little different. There are explanations for this though. I'm not ruling out it being some sort of set-up, but I don't jump to that conclusion just because some information doesn't make immediate sense. There are factors and elements that we don't completely understand that could logically accommodate for these things, we just don't have all the information at the moment and we're assuming we do. Besides, if Luigi is innocent why was he using a fake ID, fleeing to a bus station, and hiding at a McDonald's in PA with the murder weapon, the fake ID, and a manifesto? He would have to be knowingly taking the fall.

@@clarencethomas01 Yes, the Starbucks pictures. The difference in eyebrows between the two is the most obvious and notable difference to me. Luigi has noticeably large, thick / bushy eyebrows. Like caterpillar brows or a unibrow. However the starbucks pictures show a man with a narrower nose bridge and very different eyebrows. They are MUCH smaller, thinner, and much more normal looking. Basically eyebrows that wouldn't draw any attention unlike Luigi's. Luigi may very well be guilty..... just seems strange that they released one set of wanted pictures that look nothing like him ( the starbucks pics) and then other sets ( that Jeff covered here) that match his profile. It also seems very strange and extremely convenient that Luigi would still be carrying around the same fake ID, manifesto, AND murder weapon a full 6 DAYS after the crime. Luigi was a smart kid, and even the dumbest of criminals know to get rid of these things asap!

@Alex_Sosa You make some good points and I definitely agree with you on him looking pretty different, but the picture wasn't as close up and is pretty low quality in general. So I just think that 'could' be an explanation. Also, he's smart in some ways, but to plan something like this you'd have to be somewhat mentally unwell and he's not an experienced criminal. Everyone hates insurance, but this planning and execution is another story. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a spot planned that he was trying to reach so he could ditch the gun and he wasn't flexible on this. And writing out a manifesto is fairly evident that he either expected that he could be caught or even planned on it. Otherwise he wouldn't write it. It just seems like he is slightly neurotic/unhinged along with being an inexperienced criminal and that's the explanation of him having all that evidence on him.

I agree so far as it wasn't Mangione. However, professional killers are risk-averse. Risk management is the bread and butter of the profession - and professionals don't do public executions because, of course, this introduces unnecessary risk. Based on the footage, the killer is someone trained for close quarters combat behind enemy lines and who will have solid E&E training (your equivalent of SAS). It's a good start for a psychopath who wants to avoid the cleanup work and get paid for it on top - but the words on casings left at the scene were intended impart a message - and by contrast, a professional always polices his brass because your brass leads the authorities to your firearm. The perp is likely to be someone with the relevant military training who snapped; probably when that insurance company knowingly and deliberately caused the death of a loved one. So he would be pretty easy and predictable to imitate in terms of dress, and without his own involvement whatsoever. Looks like he could have been set-up. I do believe that is Luigi smiling at the hostel clerk. That may be him at the hostel desk in a similar coat as well, but I do not believe his face is picked up again on camera until 7:04 am the morning of - when he climbs into a taxi and stares straight at the camera. I do believe The Shooter is the guy at the Starbucks. The bridge of his nose is very different. There is a TikTok of a guy in New York e-biking the route, but it’s a tight-tight timeline that leaves questions about the backpack drop off and the jacket swap. There might have been two hooded, masked “light skinned” men in black in New York that morning… the near camera-less Central park is the rendezvous point for the bait and switch. The problem for the prosecution is that NYPD & the DA rushed this, pointed the finger solely at one man and in doing so have introduced reasonable doubt. An eyewitness states that "a white guy in black who shot the guy" was “there (outside the hotel) all night”. Yet, cops have pointed at someone coming up from the subway, someone at Starbucks and yet another person ebiking from the hostel in too tight a timeframe for one human to manage. Also, Mangione (allegedly) wrote twice in his "manifesto" that he was working alone … why would anyone need to do that? The Shooter is likely gone, long gone - if he’s smart. And I believe he is, they both are... And this “open and shut” case just got messier and more mysterious.

All the little details you mentioned of the cab picture could’ve been added because it looks photo shopped. The prosecution even admitted at the arraignment that the 1000+ hours of video surveillance they claim to have, are not quality images. They wanted an extra 30 days to go through over 1000+ hours which is about 42 days worth of surveillance. That’s ridiculous that they claim to have 42 days of surveillance. Who’s to say that they would attempt to Photoshop any of those images. The mayor is indicted for bribery. There are red flags all over this case.

The prosecution isn’t even willing to release the thousand plus hours of video surveillance because they know it’s not very good let alone can define the word scientific. The only scientific fact may be that he worked at Stanford University briefly when their medical department was and probably still is conducting clinical trials on psychedelic mushrooms. It’s against the law to use people that way unless they have given their consent. They use the military or veterans because of their PTSD and issues with pain. However, they may have coerced or convinced Luigi to become part of that trial. At this point, it’s the only concrete lead to explain behavior if in fact, he was the shooter. His association with the medical industry/university and the corruption around that business is fact. They could’ve known everything about him, had his fingerprints and DNA. Their resources are endless. That’s the real story not this tabloid nonsense.

What the host misses entirely is that WE DON'T HAVE A PICTURE OF THE SHOOTER'S FACE. All the police have is a video of a white male wearing a hoodie, shooting. Luigi visited NY. Luigi stayed at the hostel. Luigi bought snacks at Starbucks and wandered around NYC. None of this is disputed by Luigi. There is ZERO CONNECTION to Luigi Mangione, aside from a person in black with a distictive backpack which was later found in Central Park. There will be no DNA connecting the backpack to Luigi, no DNA on the bullets, and the DNA at the crime scene could have been left by Luigi days before. When Luigi is arrested in PA, he has a gun that CANNOT be proven to be the murder weapon because there are no markings left by a ghost gun. Also in Luigi's possession was an incriminating manifesto that could have been a novel he was working on. EVERYTHING the police have is entirely circumstantial. Luigi will walk.

You look at the different videos they followed completely different people at different points from the point of shooting to where they tracked him down. The person on the bike is not the same person as they did not have the backpack as they were leaving the scene you can see that. Not only that the jacket changes from the shooting to the bicycle and then again when they track him down in the cab. The face mask is different. And the bicycle that they follow the cargo rack on the back of the bicycle is present in one video and not in another. The rims of the bicycle are also shiny in one video and not in another and it seems like the battery disappears on a bicycle in a different video clip. They are following different people with similar outfits they got the wrong person

I don't believe Luigi has ever said he was not in New York at that time the problem is is the video of the shooter does not show his face only similar clothing. As you can see by the similar jackets selling out, the clothing the shooter wore is off the rack mass produced & pretty generic. All evidence indicates he probably was the shooter, gun, writings etc but there are no eye witnesses that we know of and no cameara with a facial shot at the moment of the shooting. Evidence is circumstantial & inconclusive. If I were a juror I would aquit.

He has his mask and hood up, standing in front of some wood benches/chairs, wearing exactly what he was wearing in the surveillance video of him committing the murder. People say the nose looks different but it's not a great picture either way. Edit if you look up luigi mangione Starbucks picture under images it's one of the top results after the hostel pictures.
