Well set your soggy foundation first (as jeffree does say) then it would work. I don't do Makeup and it doesnt take a genius

@@jakescales what if you don't use setting powder? It's liquid it's meant to be able to be used on top of foundation without having to use setting powder, usually you have issues if you try and put liquids and cream products over powder. Jerffree did say it can be used over powder but that doesn't take away from the fact that you should be able to put it directly on foundation with out the foundation being pulled up.

Most foundations tend to dry down and set themselves due to containing powder and once that happens you can't add anything liquid or cream on top it'll end up removing the foundation which is what you've and everyone else has experienced you literally don't have much time it needs to be added pretty much instantly

I don't think it's because there isn't a lot of product in the bottle I think it's either because your pushing the button too quickly or the most likely cause is because it needs to be air locked tight to actually suck up the product being this type of dropper I'm guessing this is why. Any kind of powder applied and then using a very watery liquid over the top is going to disrupt the powder it's like making a cake mixture when you think about it just my thoughts I could be wrong

I find it easiest to not set the highlight areas of my face if I’m using liquid highlights for this reason but I usually opt for powder highlighters because I always forget I wanted to use a liquid and have powdered already haha. I thought the air tight would’ve been the reason because its really the only thing that made the most sense. I want to try this liquid highlight so badly but I have so many already from other companies it would go to waste

Opened mine as soon as I got home from work. Put it over my powered face and it didn't disrupt anything. I used my fingers to apply. I was super impressed. I got the shade frozen peach.

The reason it doesn’t pump is scientific. The pump pulls the air in the container into the wand, if the container isnt closed, air will continue to come in. That’s pretty standard with those pumps.

I think when you’re putting it in half way, you need to hold the button rather than tapping it really quickly as that’s just releasing product rather than bringing product in!

Is your face powdered? Because once you put water on the powder it’s definitely going to do that. I would try it after you put on your foundation before you powder or mix it in your foundation

Putting liquid or cream on powdered skin is a disaster as it takes and disrupts the make up underneath powder is for after all liquids and creams have been applied and most foundations contain powder so they set on their own so you don't have much time to apply more liquids or creams before the foundation has set completely

Also, did you have powder underneath? I believe that may have been the problem, I find with all liquid highlighters, if I'm doing foundation, I skip all the powder for after the highlight, or atleast not in the area(s) i wanna put hilight. And yeah, I don't care for the sponge for highlight. I honestly always apply my highlighters (even powders) with my fingers because it makes it blinding! Then i use a brush to blend the edges. I do that with my eyeshadow a lot too 😅 ya get more pigment that way in my opinion. (It doesn't work with super dusty eyeshadows, gotta be the texture of like a Jeffree or a MUG) and wash your hands EVERY time you do it as well obviously 😂

Haha! As soon as I heard JS was coming out with liquid highlighter I just knew you were going to have is asap! Also Tati tried it yesterday on her channel and I don't remember for certain but I am pretty sure she used a damp sponge to apply it. I do know that she used it over the beauty blender foundation and she didn't have any issues with it disrupting the foundation, so maybe it depends on the foundation? Like, it is better with some than others? I dunno, just a thought because I've had issues like that before where some products just don't play well together where others are great together. Thank you for the sponge advice, I was waiting on you to decide if I should try these, they may be useful especially on non-foundation days. Overall in the beginning I was hesitant to try JSC but your reviews, especially on the highlighters, were incredibly helpful that I went on a JS shopping spree soon after going for the best for my pale skin. Then the lipsticks of course, over time I've collected so many because of you. You deserve PR big time because I've never bought so much over a review until I saw yours. I really appreciate all you've done to help us out. So grateful I found you, you are exactly what I look for when it comes to reviews. Not to mention I'm also interested in your mystery side of things too. You have been helpful in Colourpop and other cruelty free brands as well, you now have me reaching for brighter colours I never thought I would touch. Since being mostly bedridden makeup has become a sorta lonely hobby for me as I tend to sit...lie around in solitude, although, sometimes I almost forget that when you're on my screen. I can't be as creative or rather too in depth as much as I used to be being so ill at the moment but I have so many ideas and inspiration for when I'm well enough since watching you. While not being able to get product out without closing all the way is a huge design flaw, it's probably full all the way, it's probably not picking stuff up because of the engineering of the bottle/dropper. Looks super cute though. I'm so happy using your finger worked because I was debating buying the peach one and I'm so happy it worked! Your videos are great

Love you so much. I’m going to a poindexter in the comments though 😬 lmao!!! You arenot doing the dropper right. When you dip it in, hold the button down. Then slowly release once you remove it, to let droplets out. Also, I think ANY powder all on your skin before a liquid is going to render a textured, caked, smudging effect.

Hey girl!! I just watched Jeffrees snap chat & a couple things, he pumps it a few times to fill up the whole tube with product & secondly, he does use a beauty blender, well the Morphe sponge, & he says it’s over foundation & powder but he applies a little at a time on the damp sponge then applies it to the face, so instead of putting it on the face & then blending it out with the sponge. It’s probably because of how fast it dries. Anyways, hope this helps. 😘

I got the ice queen highlight because my skin is very pink toned and I love a pink highlight. When I swatched it at first I thought it looked like it blended in with my skin too much and wished I got the one you have. But I used it today over my powdered foundation and it looked great, so I decided to use the new Anastasia dream glow over top and it was next level blinding! I'm going to be using this as a base to all my powder highlights.

I applied mine with my fingers, worked way better. Didnt disturb my makeup. Also, flowed beautifully on my shoulders and neck/chest area. I would take a bath in this.

If you're going to put liquid highlight on with a sponge, put it on your hand and then tap your sponge into it. Then tap off the excess on the back of your hand, then go in on your face. Too much of a liquid highlighter will disrupt your foundation, powdered or not.

I saw someone else use the new liquid highlighter with a regular beauty sponge (not the Juno microfiber sponge) and it came out looking great. I’m wondering if the fuzzy (not the best descriptor but I can’t think of a better adjective to describe the texture of the Juno sponge) texture on the sponge screwed up the application. I’d love to see how it applies for you with a standard beauty blender style sponge.

You may be having texture problems on the sponge side because of the sponge material ,maybe a smoother sponge would work better. The finger side looks amazing 💗😘

Looks stunning on you! Your left cheek looked like polished chrome! I think liquid highlighters look too much like hard work for the face, when you consider it only takes a couple of swishes to apply powder HL. I'd prefer to use liquid HL on the body. Or maybe added to a foundation
