I have the same Emeril Airfryer 360. Just a tip to make clean up easier and avoid the drippings on the heating elements. I use both trays that come with the oven. Put the drip tray in place on the bottom and put the baking sheet tray on the lowest level just above the heating elements. This ensures no drippings will get on the elements. I cover both trays with foil for easy clean up.

How small a chicken do you have to use so that it doesn’t drag below?

Yeah but then you're blocking the heating element so it's not cooking evenly as it should. Just clean after every use just like you would the dishes.

Now before I put it in the Emeril oven I hit the chicken with a little olive oil and a sprinkle of Lawry's season salt and some kicking chicken seasoning and BAM BAM BAM THE BEST CHICKEN EVER!

Hi Jeff, As a former Buffalonian, so happy to see the Bills hoodie. I have a GoWise 14.7 Qt. Air Fryer Rotisserie/Grill Air Fryer Oven. One of the features is that you can pre-select which heating elements to use-Upper - Lower - Both. Ergo, when using the rotisserie, it uses the UPPER element so that you are not dripping down upon a hot element. Also, I add enough water to the drip tray- which I've previously covered with aluminum foil- so the drippings don't contact a hot metal surface.... This PREVENTS smoking and makes clean-up easier. (You could even add a couple of drops of dish washing liquid to the water) In your video, I didn't see you temp. the chicken.. For the last 5 - 8 minutes, - and before final temperature is achieved- I raise the cooking temperature to 400ºF. to crisp the skin. Thanks for the video. 🙏 Damar Hamlin Go Bills

I don't know if this will help you or not, but I have a very similar oven to yours called Elite Gourmet (some videos of it are on KZbin). My instructions say for rotisserie to put the baking tray (this is not the drip tray that goes under the lower element) over the lower element. I can turn the upper and lower element independently, so it says to only use the upper element for rotisserie. That way you won't have drips on the heating element even if you have to have it on. It also says 30-40 minutes per pound.

My mom brought hers when she came to live with me a little over a year ago. Well I was a little apprehensive about using it. I was happy using my double oven which has a small oven on top of a larger oven. I just didn't know how to use the 360. Mom doesn't know where her manual is so I guess I'll have to order a replacement. Anyhow, I am determined to start using it. She lived alone since my dad passed and really just used it minimally. I saw it can do rotisserie so by George thanks to your video I now have the confidence and know-how to do it. Cant wait for my next shopping trip to get a whole chicken. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful video. I'm excited to try mine as a rotisserie for the very first time. I'm going to be making a Chinese duck. Pre-stuffed the night before with a blend of a cinnamon stick, 5 spice Chinese powder, whole ginger root, whole garlic head cut in half, hoisin sauce, star anise, and honey. Twined up, patted dry and ready to rock, hopefully not literally. May even use a tad bit of black truffle oil. The bird is 5 lbs.

First of all, thank you so much for your tutorial. I wanted to try the rotisserie chicken but I needed more of a visual from just the recipe that came with the air fryer. Regarding the smoke, I noticed that by turning the fan off, that completely eliminated my smoke issue. Prior to that I didn't think I was going to be able to make it all the way through the 55 minutes because of the immense amount of smoke. As soon as I turned off the fan the smoking seem to stop. I'm not sure if this was just coincidental but maybe it can help some of the rest of you. 😉

Great job on the chicken, I'm making that tonight. I cooked a pork loin in my new air fryer - LOVE IT I cooked it on the rotisserie at 400 for 45 minutes. I removed the pork then wrapped it in foil and let it rest for 15 minutes. When I opened it to cut it, there was a lot of really good juice in the foil so I put that in a small bowl and served it with the pork. The pork came out awesome. Flavor and juicy. Hubby is happy and excited for the meal. Regarding the dip tray, no you can't put foil on it so what I did was put the pizza rack in the 1st slot and used the baking pan that comes with the air fryer and wrapped it in foil. Helped with clean up. I subscribed and will be watching and learning from you. It's a new way of cooking, takes practice. Thanks!

I just put a chicken my "360", the tray you put in that goes under the bottom elements gets used every time I use the 360. But mine came with a grey teflon coated pan that has a half inch deep pan well. I put in the pizza rack and it goes on it and under the chicken on the rotisserie. I sliced up a lemon and stuffed it in the body cavity. I also used lemon pepper on the outside. If the drip starts to smoke I will add a little water to that teflon pan. Thanks for the advice. Gave me confidence about time and temp.

Less splatter and clean up with the grill. I just use the oven for its air frying feature nowadays which is perfect for me. But tonight rotisserie chicken sounds appetizing. Thanks for the how-to trussing of the bird!

I have raised the temperature and increased cooking time by ten minutes on some less fatty chickens. I find cleaning to be easy!! I wait until after dinner and clean and it comes off easily!! I clean entire oven after each use, as well as wipe the elements. This whole oven cools in 30 minutes! Only thing I don’t like, the cord gets very hot! A sturdy appliance cord should have been used.👍

I have a different brand oven and it came with a deeper drip pan to use in the bottom slot, covering the bottom elements. It catches the juices as intended. The flatter sheet pan that goes under the bottom elements is simply a crumb catcher to make cleaning easy (I make it even easier by keeping covered with aluminum foil). I don't know if the bottom elements heat up on my oven on rotisserie setting, but if so, it works fine for doing a chicken because of the exposed top elements. This video was helpful for the tips on tying it together, thanks!

We tied our chicken turned it on and the oven produced a delicious chicken.. Having said that the smoke it produces is significant, it set off my smoke detectors which caused the fire alarm to go off and we had a fire truck at the front door in about 5 minutes. We ended up having to place the unit on the stove under the fan hood. The smoke filled the house and became a nuisance. Lesson: have an exhaust fan and turn off your fire alarm smoke detector until you're finished cooking. Improvements would be to protect the heating elements from any oil or fat dripping. How Emeril does that is his biggest challenge.

The Emeril Lagasse Power AirFryer has recently been subject to a class-action lawsuit following claims that the product is defective and dangerous. At least two consumers claim the appliance caught fire during use despite strict adherence to safety instructions. The four models under scrutiny - the Power AirFryer 360, 360 XL, Deluxe, and Plus - are said to have a defective design that causes the appliances to overheat and reach temperatures hundreds of degrees above what’s considered safe for air fryers. The lawsuit cites the product’s improper air circulation, excessive heating elements, and poorly designed drip tray as three essentially flawed design elements. The lack of an operational safety mechanism to switch off the appliance when it becomes too hot further exacerbates the fire risk. These defects render the products unfit for their intended purpose, which is to reliably and safely cook food. Despite mounting scrutiny, the manufacturer has denied warranty claims, replaced the defective appliances with similarly defective air fryers, and refused to conduct a voluntary recall of the product. This negligence continues to put users at risk across the U.S. If you find your Power AirFryer catches fire from no fault of your own, our attorneys will be on hand to fight your corner. We’ll help you recover any damages and hold the culpable organization to account for its actions. With vast knowledge and experience in product liability law, Morgan & Morgan is well equipped to take on your legal challenge and deliver the best results in your case. - MORGAN & MORGAN, Attys.

I just got myself a hamilton beach sure crisp air fryer toaster oven with rotisserie. The cool thing is the heating elements is not above the drip pan so far, it is great. First time using it

Your video helps. My big oven roaster keeps hanging down and getting stuck on the heating elements. I'll reposition the spikes.

Nice clear tie and cook instructions, Jeff. Just did a rotisserie chicken in my Emeril Lagasse 360XL and it came out very nice and juicy. Tasty, too. Subscribing!

What about covering the oven tray down with aluminum foil for easy cleaning?

How do you get the drip tray under the heat bars ?

1 hr thats crazy. my open hearth farberware takes 3.5 hrs to do a 5 lb chicken approx. its open so u can use pam on it and add more seasoning during the cook.but yes tieing it good is crucial cause its a pain to have to shut ut down after its been on on an hr and retie ur wings and yes they do flare up alit and can cause a fire so u really dont wanna fall asleep with it on.. a fire extinguisher is a good thing to have handy and an old towel to smither it in case of fire.i been usin mine for , since bout 84 so it has gotten scary a fe times .i just got ny air fryer today and will be makin a chivken soon.pork tenderloin is anazing on it.ribs too

Hello, my fryer is a model Emeril Lagasse model FAFO-001, it is new, it does not rotate at 360 degrees, is it mandatory to test it with a chicken?

The 2 rodes going across the bottom at a narrow opening on both sides, if liquid gets down there it would be impossible to clean, unless both walls of side panels, were removed, I don't like the fact that it smoked , as the say where there's smoke, there's fire 🔥 good demonstration, 👍

I put foil in my drip tray , then I put in my pizza rack right in on top of the drip tray there slides that it can go on then I put foil in my baking pan and sit it on the pizza rack I put the chicken in and it was turning with no problem and there was no smoking just make sure the foil is hitting the hitting elements and the chicken came out perfect. Thank you have a good evening
