It looks like Dahmer is understandably upset about that sensationalistic paper, which is headlined: "Milwaukee Cannibal Kills Cellmate"! This was an outright lie made up to sell more papers.

Yes, but that is sensationalism ... like the National Enquirer back then. I think he is angry about the headline. He lived in his own world. Maybe on the Spectrum? No excuses for the horrid disgusting things he did. Too bad, because he was smart and very good looking and also, I think, had a pretty good sense of sarcastic humor.

I think he had autism. I know, every person is different, so every person with autism acts different too. But I see very much behaivor of him in me. I have autism myself, am introverted, like structure (he liked the structure and routine in the army) self-absorbed, few interests, few friends at school, don’t like to make eye contact (that's why he didn't wear glasses in court, because the eye contact panicked him) he often spoke monotonously, didn’t talk much. I don’t know if i’ts a sign of autism, but I also have the same dry humour he had. I probably forgetting a few things. Sad he didn’t get the help he needed..

@@Cpdm26 or it could have been the other way around, he probably didn’t like to make eye contact because the eye contact could have panicked other person, to the point that they had to get away. Is it right that people victimize him so much, when they ought to think about his victims, what they went through,, and more than that,, what his victims families went though

@@TinyTiger2023 don't make things up. Both of the assistants gave interviews together after the trial was concluded. They talked about how Dahmer always treated them kindly and nice they even forgot about they were dealing with a serial killer after some point. Dahmer would make little comments about their clothes, necklaces etc. He mentiones both of them in his ending statement.

They already saw it behind the chambers. They were the ones who showed it to Dahmer. Him laughing incredulously when it was shown to him became an issue on its own. He simply wanted the give the papers himself or something I don't know what was he trying to do there really 🤷‍♂️

The headline says "The Milwaukee Cannibal Kills His Cellmate" and how he later ate his cellmate as well. When he saw it he laughed and said "Can you believe at what they come up with?" If I remember right the woman he's showing it to is his lawyer's wife. He was basically making fun of the media.

Dahmer should have gotten the death penalty, if only the state of Wisconsin hadn't abolished the death penalty in 1853. I honestly believe that he been tried in a death penalty state, he would have been sentenced to death and most importantly, that sentence would have been carried out by now. Death row inmates are segregated from general population, and in his case he would have been in protective custody, so I think a Scarver attacker wouldn't be able to get to him. Also we would have seen true justice carried out, not by another murderer, by the arm of the law. I will never understand why some people are so opposed to a clinical execution for an obviously dangerous serial killer.
@Bella.216

You're joking right?? He actually had been segregated but because he didn't like being segregated he chose to ignore the dangers and go into gen pop! Maybe you just didn't pay attention back then or read better!

Oh gee, was poor little old Jeffrey terribly upset by something MEAN said about him. Of dear. How terrible. Showing his real self there. Narcissist. Doesn't like it when HE isn't controlling the narrative about himself. Amazing how many people he suckered into believing that he earnestly didn't understand why he did such things and was truthful in interviews. Total BS. But he was correct that this was what people wanted to hear. Still today, in KZbin comments, you find people saying, "he wasn't like other serial killers, he really wanted to understand what was wrong." That was his manipulation game, just as totally fake as Chris Watts' "good father and quiet put upon husband" schtick. Watts' neighbor said that at night he could hear Watts SCREAMING abuse at his family. Never ceases to amaze me what people will fall for.
