As a A-body guy I never thought I'd like this body style, but this is ElKO is done so well that it's hard not to love it. I'd really like to know where the dash came from? And I'd love to see the motor. Congrats on a great build.

i'd guess ur best bet would be a sawzall or a grinder with a cut off wheel to cut the lip off, then a grinding wheel to grind down the excess metal left over. then weld, fill, prime/paint.

Hey next elcamino you fix up buy a roll pan for a wagon and get rid of the nots at the lower back on the sids it looks smoother that way but yours is still great tho

Slick car, bro. I've got an '87 I'm working on right now. A few questions for you: What is that dash out of? What kind of suspension is it on to get it that low? And how hard was it to shave all the trim that goes around the bed? My brother did it to a customer's elco and said it was a pain, then a tornado came through and beat it all to hell. I gotta ask, how did yall go about deleting the Chrome trim around the top of the bed? Just take it off and trim down the excess? I'm working on building a 78 and and want to get rid of the Chrome. Matter of fact, yalls is pretty much the same idea I had (a couple differences here and there), so I might have to change things up a bit.
