He was never underrated, he’s everybody’s little secret. Absolute genius, honest with no hidden agendas just real. Was at his last Dublin gig and no words could describe the waves of emotion between him and the audience... beautiful evening...💔✌️🙏🦊

Haunting. I miss him so much. His loss has hit me like John Lennon. A guy whom I've never met but admire and miss everyday. Mark's memoir also hit me at another level. I can relate to so much that he went through. Makes me weep over the fact that he cleaned up and had to leave us so soon.

Sorry to respond a year late, don't feel the need to respond (unless you want to). I'm with ya though, it sucks, but this kinda life if it doesn't get ya when you're down, gets ya when you've finally made it. Your body's age may not be the same age as you are in years. Shit takes a serious toll. I personally would be happy to make it out of my 20s and live into my 50s, at least I'm saying now; so young and so stupid. Live fucked and die once I'm finally happy. His life was absolutely a firework though, and for a firework, it was slow burning which I am grateful for. May not be living as long as is average, but for his lifestyle, he made it far, Mark Lanegan was incredibly resilient. Love his music and just his awesome personality. As fucked as he may be, it's not like I knew him or even saw him live, but he truly excelled in certain areas, and had a real soul in him. God bless him and may he rest in peace.

"Would you put on that long white gown And burn like there's no more tomorrows? Will you walk with me underground And forgive all my sicknesses and my sorrows? Will you be shamed if I shake like I'm dyin' When I fall to my knees and I'm crying? Will you visit me where my body rests Will you put on that long white dress? Ba dadada, da, badadadada dadada Ba dadada, da, badadada The end could be soon, we'd better rent a room So you can love me Will you put on that long white dress While I burn when there's no more tomorrows? Will you remember me through the years I'll miss And forget all the sadnesses and the sorrows? Ba dadada, da, badadadada dadada Ba dadada, da, badadada We got buried in the fever Now you love me Get a room, so you can love me"
