It helps if you have a magnetic point on your screwdriver to hold on to the screw. And I believe the standard size phillipd head was what I used to remove the screws.one screw gave me a really hard time.

Mine is making a simmiliar horrible noise. It's been working great for over 10 years of intensive use. I'll try to find replacement brushes and hope it works.

10 years is a good length of time for a modern shredder!

Only had it 14 months but do not have the box or a receipt. I phone the nbr on the back of the machine and all she said was oil it and try it then. But still nothing works and I oil it anyway

The same thing was happening to my shredder. It had been a good little soldier for about 10 years. My motor was sparking as well and it would only turn the teeth in reverse. I thought there was an issue with the metal teeth and I was hoping I could use the motor for something else but alas….

Mine runs in rev but doesn't run or make any noise in regular forward.

My shredder only makes noise when reversed, but cannot go forward...there's very few papers shredded and nothing else. why is it only making the noise when reversed but not forward and yet when your trying to put paper inside of it to shred?
@jeg19722 жыл бұрын
it may be that the microswitch which triggers the forward shredding motion when a sheet is put into the shredder, is blocked with pieces of paper. Try and unblock that microswitch.

Thanks for sharing. A bit funny even , and I think you were a bit harsh on yourself. As others have mentioned, we are generating so much waste, especially since when things started being made in you-all-know-where. Everyone talks about the environment but not much noise is being made about all the garbage being shipped to the west (and other parts of the world) in the name of cheap products.

Thank you for the video.The products that are made to day do not last more than a few months. Anything with a 12 month guarantee will just make it to 13 months so you know what that means. I will not be buying one again.Good old scissors from now on😊

Re your shredder video. Really Good. But could you not canabilse other carbon brushes to fit?

At the time, and actually now if I still had it, I literally had nothing else that I could use as replacements.

DUDE!!! Lefty Loosey- Righty Tighty. I stopped watching when you started tightening the screw instead of loosening it with your filed down high school made flathead. It's amazing what anxiety and stress can do to our brains. Hope you got it fixed. Might want to try some oil next time after you make sure it's cleaned out. Then to can think about removing the bottom.

what the hell are you doing you are "trying" to show us "how to"and you don't even have the proper screwdriver
@robertoramiro47292 ай бұрын
What kind of home mechanic you are, you don’t even have the basic tools to work on something, not even a Philip screwdriver or a flashlight, by the time I finish my writing you’ll still be trying to remove that Philip screw if you’re turning your screw driver to the right all the time that screw will never come out until you retire the second time!!!!!Lefty is loosey, rightly is tighty, hope you know it now!!!!! Sorry just upset!!!!
